in all seriousness, the problem that a lot of players have with JJ and they overestimate there strength and underestimate their ability to be out flopped. So they overplay them preflop and narrow peoples continuation range down so much that hey are either dominated or coinflips. They are strong pocket pairs that have great showdown value.

From Vanessa's "Coming from scratch" thread in HSNL (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/19...cratch-772851/), thought some of you in here might be interested

Due to IRL stuff, it has been delayed two weeks to May 24.

And I see we're coming down the pike on the load of topics we had lined up, which means we need MOAR TOPICS!

Please post your ideas.

2.) The Value Of Money: On And Off The Table
3.) Planning
4.) Building Default Lines

I am lazy, suck at writing et cetera but I will do this around the 4th of July (I have a week off around that time).

Per many other CoTW, I will merely get the ball rolling and will rely on the latte sipping elitists here in uNL to rescue the thread with factiness.

It we can make a half way decent thread then we'll be able to send n00bs to the thread when they ask "is running X BI below EV normal"?

Also, it would be good if we could assign sequential numbers to CoTW threads so when certain very common questions are asked we could reply "CoTW #33" and eventually just "33" when we are responding for the 600th time.

E.g. someone starts a thread "Did I play KK properly here?" -- "CoTW #17".

BOOM!

You answered before I even had the time to compose you a PM suggesting you'd be perfect for it!

Great idea about numbering the articles BTW.

thinking about bankrolls and possibly what to do with money that is sitting in a BR doing nothing. also how to think about money in a more global sense (no so much a macroecon sense...just more general wrt investing and CDs, etc)

planning is the thing everyone sucks on. thinking multiple moves ahead, like being on the turn when you are preflop...and knowing what you are going to do on all cards to logical actions. doing this leads into building default lines, and can also help create ranges and consider plays without having to "experiment"

I like "pitfalls in common thought processes". Kinda like why "raise for information" doesn't work, etc etc. Definitely the kind of back to basics topics I'm looking for.

If we did "planning a hand" and "building default lines" back-to-back as a little series, which would you like to pen?

I think bankroll maximization and investing 101 is kinda beyond the scope of the microstakes forum.
