Would raise here. He only has $0.55 behind, so it's highly doubtful he's folding the big overpair he's representing for that price imo (though I have a feeling he might do, as this thread exists). I guess he could fold an overpair with no spade some of the time, but I find it hard to believe he would bet 60% of his stack here to then fold to a shove. There is of course a high chance we'll get it all on the river anyway, but one of the spades left in the deck could kill the action. I see little long time reward in just calling, though it's probably only marginally worse than showing. Most of the time this situation gives full value either way.

What are you afraid of here? Looks like an overpair that you're now ahead of. Very very rare are you getting 3! Pre with 77. Just jam and collect.

As Cat guessed i think, i did shove and then vilain folded so was worried missed value but i guess that is retrospective thoughts

I see what you mean. I'd consider how many rivers you would get value from when thinking about a flat call. Just given stack sizes I agree with his assesment. Does villain shut down on a fourth spade? If he's got an overpair you certainly get paid sometimes but that same hand is probably priced in to call on your turn shove. Wouldn't feel bad about the move at all from a value perspective.

Jam in case he likes to fold to 4th spade, other than that it doesn't matter either way as he is not folding 88+ here

11/10 is so tight.... fold pre? if he is a 11/10 with 7%3bet call and catch this flop.

flop is a ship, fold out AQ/AK, flip vs KK and almost dead vs aces...

as palyed ship the turn not much left and he can check back rivers....if you dont put the rest in by donk xx
