It does seem like a slightly strange coincidence I agree, and you have a right to keep an open mind. But I have nothing to hide so it doesn't worry me in the slightest. And I've never used 4chan before so the bolded part is inaccurate. There is also no evidence that the post was necessarily made by a local and so it could potentially have been made by someone from overseas. In addition to the shooting threat hand-written bomb threats placed in North Island buildings which can't possibly have been me cos I was in the South Island. I know I like to create little bursts of drama sometimes but this was a big national (possibly international) news story that had thousands of people missing tests and lectures out of fear and even undercover police involved. Prank or not, I imagine if they catch who did this the punishment will be quite severe. It's not in my style to do something as outlandish as this, although I cannot prove this to you. Our water supply seems fine to me though
