ye what princess elsa said about the red line.

"People think 6max is kind of a hood game where you need to show off your red line. This is fake news lol. You make money by folding rivers, blue line ALL THE WAY."

this is so true, people see some top tier red line graphs and think all top regs have positive red lines and start over 3betting and defending without even knowing the reason

Like, have you ever applied properly what coaching vids teach? Have you been able to implement some basic 6max strat just from watching a video?

Because it seems easy and all, but it's actually super hard in game.

Option 2 is good and wouldn't cost you that much; probably need two 1 hour sessions to go over something like that, tops 3.

Option 3: PIO is close to worthless for anything under 100nl and even then... I would not go down that path right now. It's an overkill and would complicate stuff when it can be very simple.

Option 4: you could do the review on your own, and like look at all your resteal oop spots and try to learn from that. Adjust your ranges and then experiment while playing. Trial and error basically.
Gotta admit, I was tempted by the PIO option after playing around with the free trial. I had an attempt at option 4 but even looking at a hand sample of 270k hands there just wasn't enough for me to get the info I wanted. A couple of coaching sessions is probably the answer.

Thanks

And learn to play from the blinds. Bvb spots become soooo important.
any advice in this area? often i will look at bb vs sb, bb vs BTN, flatting, 3betting etc and think yeah my results look good but i don't really know how they should look so it's hard to judge

apologies for another question elsa, seems you're getting a little bombarded in here.

PIO is not bad; it's a really good software and helps you understand what's gto. However, it's unnecessary for 25-100nl 6max strat.
And let's not kid ourselves; the game is all about playing explo.

Hmm, I'm not sure I understand the question. Basically, you want to know how your re-steals stats should look like for 6max purposes?

Every strategy that has been thought through can be a winning/decent one when playing oop from the blinds.

Like at 200z and 500z, the best regs all have their own strat for these spots. There is no "default" strategy for re-steals spots I would say.

You develop your strat while making your ranges and for example, calculating what part of my range I continue vs 4bet in this spot and other stuff like that. If it does not seem to work, go back and try to adjust ranges to see how much equity it has vs expected villain range in this spot.

I'm not sure if I answered this properly or not, hope this helps.

I don't mind answering questions in this forum; it helped me a lot when I started playing poker at 10nl fr.

You can PM me for further stuff.

Yeah I was thinking of using it as a sort of baseline strategy that I'd branch out of when exploitable options were out there (or to be more precise when I'd identified and worked out how I was going to deal with particular exploitable options ). I did like the postflop stuf it came up with, with regards to how you should continue with specific parts of your range.

Is everyone using Tablescan Turbo? I downloaded it ages ago but my AV software went mental with it saying it had a virus so I've never used it (or any sort of table selecting software)

Given that fact that some of the 50nl reg tables end up with 1 whale and 20 person waitlists I'd say most regs are using it.

Not using TST or anything else, when i do player regular tables i only wait list when i'll be first in line. I normally just start tables or look for those with seats. I leave unless the fish is one of 3 seats to the right of me.

Thought we Canadians were relatively good at poker. Live poker in Canada (or at least Ontario) is probably way nittier than other places.

Live poker in Canada is not nitty.

Open raising 10x in a 1/2 game and getting called 5 ways.

Live games are always soft

live canadian poker is very nitty/passive. not great for cash games relative to standard live cash games worldwide but very good for MTTs.

It's more than bumping, some dude transferred to our table this evening and started shoving blind for 300$ then for 600$ and losing it and re-buying for another 300$ shoving that and losing it and shoving another 100$ and building that up to 300$ and kept on with his one gear, I'm all in blind till someone called him with QJo and making two pair.

Played for 3 hours, I would
open raise for 20$ and get called 4 ways.

Live Canadian poker isn't nitty/ passive.

Woodbine in Toronto but it's super nitty and you can't even get paid three streets with top pair usually. Niagara games aren't much better.
