I thought he probably had a decently strong pocket pair. Did I play this correctly or not?

why are you bombing the river which will make the few Tx hands that might call fold?

^that, half pot or x/c a fair bet seems ok.

Bet river smaller like half pot and fold if you are getting raised, rest seems fine.

Your R/B/B/B line is fine. Just think about what your bet sizing accomplishes on each street, ie what hands villain continues with vs what hands fold.

Did villain play this well? Would a raise on the turn make sense?

I am interested why nobody would opt for x/c on the river to bluffcatch Asx type of hands who called for gutshot on the flop and backdoored a flush draw or Ksx who floated the flop and backdoored a flush draw going for thin value? Is this type of thinking wrong in this particular situation?

It seems very unlikely villain could have theses types of hands given the positions

I understand but if I compare option of x/c the river vs 3 barrel of half the pot I am not sure we get called enough by worse for barreling to be profitable. Just my opinion.

At these stakes most villains won't float enough flops and won't turn enough hands into bluffs. They are far more likely to call down lightly with Tx hands and if hero checks this river and villain bets I would suspect he has far more strong value hands than bluffs in his range. Bet-fold is probably the best line here but a much smaller blocker bet would be better.
