5NL Zoom - Turn bet sizing

Anyone betting the flop here? How is my raise on the turn? If I shove, and he's holding a flush draw and folds, he plays perfectly. Would it still be correct to shove and win there and then?

Villain is 13/10 over 204 hands.

Re: 5NL Zoom - Turn bet sizing

I probably make the initial bet OTT about .3 and the raise about $3 (so we can get stacks in with a psb OTR). As played it depends. Would villain c/mr the turn with a flush draw? I don't think so if he's 13/10 - not to mention that there's only one feasible flush combo in his range - AJhh which I think he often bets the flop with. I call expecting to either chop or see a set.

Re: 5NL Zoom - Turn bet sizing

Betting the flop is villain dependent really as some 13/10 types are going to be getting tricky and c/r this type of board a fair bit when they do check. As it's the type of board you'd expect most people to cbet nearly 100% of the time.

As played on the turn it's tough to put villain on a flush draw given that you have the Qh.
I guess villain may play AhJh or AhTh like this but even that is a bit of a stretch.

So i'd sigh call the river and expect to see a poorly played JJ,TT, KK and other AQ hands often enough to make calling profitable

I think thats a huge part of this hand and because of it I think I call and expect to be good a large %.

Re: 5NL Zoom - Turn bet sizing

I would bet the flop, we do fold out some better hands than ours and taking the pot down when we have Ace high is going to be better than getting to showdown and seeing villain has 22.

Serious question now when we dont bet this flop but bet the turn on this board after villain has checked twice, what are we hoping to be called by?
