preflop villain tight and is opening utg so hes range is like 88 99 1010 jj qq kk (aa unlikely) ak aq I 3 bet he calls . I cbet flop and he just jams is this a cooler if he has set 2 pair or can i find a fold or is it call all day long ? Looser villain could be on flush draw but hes range is so tight . if he was looser is it an easy call?

We don't have many stats at him, and I may even say that it may be a harder call if he is looser (and therefore more TAG) due to the fact that his opening range will be wider and may include pocket 8's - however here it feels like a fold too - doing this with KK doesnt make any sense for him he'll be unable to extract value from hands like QQ from us, that's just a pure move with a nuts imo - also before making a decision here I'd add up some info I gained about him (appearance on the table etc.)

You only have 22 hands on him so even though he looks potentially to be a nitty set-miner he could just be card dead. If I had 200 hands on him and he had these stats then I'd probably fold but in your circumstances I'd probably call (but not be very happy about it)

If he was running 20/20 would you be happy stacking off ? The looser he gets the harder it is to put on a hand so should we be stacking off lighter ?

I would, but nut by a whole pile, since a 22 hand sample is so small.

More like fold because we only have 22 hands and have the Ad.

After only 22 hands I'm gong to assume he is a nit and fold to the raise. But it is a very small sample size and he could easily be a 60/36 and was just running very card dead.

Hahahah fold cause we have 22 hands? He cluld be a 23/21 in 200 hands.

Seriously folding overpair in a 3b pot vs unknown, in a good board when he could be shoving draws and QQ KK?

So you guys expect to flop top set right?

ummm, yea no.

AP it would be a hero fold in my book.

1. If his stats are remotely representative of his pre flop play over long samples, he's literally never raising 22 UTG or any position. Even 88 would be a stretch. Since he probably doesn't have those, and he can't have 2 pairs here, there's just 3 combos that beat you.

2. I know it's 10NL but who just check-jams a set otf? That said, I guess there are incompetent players with no postflop abilities who will make plays like this

3. He can show up with QQ/KK here, and there's more combos of those than sets.

It's close in my book, but I'm slightly favoring a call
