25NL. Set on a wet flop facing AI 3bet

Villain ~14/2. Only 43 hands on the guy. He's been CBetting 100% (well, if he's raised 2% pf, CBets seem more like values) over this tiny sample size, not sure about donking %. He certainly seems passive & I'm not happy w/ his aggression. How often are we facing 2pair/draws here vs higher sets & straights?

Merge - $0.25 NL - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: $25.82
BB: $30.36
UTG: $19.20
UTG+1: $59.82
Hero (UTG+2): $28.13
MP: $25.00
MP+1: $26.32
CO: $23.88
BTN: $25.00

SB posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero has 8 8

UTG calls $0.25, fold, Hero raises to $0.75, fold, fold, CO calls $0.75, BTN calls $0.75, fold, fold, UTG calls $0.50

Flop: ($3.35, 4 players) T 9 8
UTG bets $1.50, Hero raises to $6.26, fold, fold, UTG raises to $18.45 and is all-in, Hero ?

It's pretty hard to fold here with better than 2 to 1 on your call. Against the flopped straight you still have ~28% equity and you only need 30% so unless he only has higher sets/straight here always and never any combo draws/overpairs/spazz etc then it's a call. Against an unknown semi fishy looking player who isnt auto topping off you just aren't going to be able to narrow his range to JQ/99/TT only. Call.

Edit. I would also argue that even passive fish don't often open limp TT utg. Or if he does, he also open limps AA and spazzes postflop with it.

Not very happy about calling but I think you have to call here, given that we only have 43 hand and villain's stats are a result of small sample size. He can show up with anything, we've only been playing with him for five orbits.

Shouldn't this be reason enough to actually be happy calling?

This. We're behind his range, but we need so little equity that it's a call.

What's with the feeble raise pre? It has to be a minimum of 4bbs with a limper already in the pot, especially when we have poor overall position ourselves.

Snap it off. This feels like QQ+ spazzing out.
