PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed) - Poker Hand Converter from PokerConverter.com

CO ($24.41)
Button ($55.41)
SB ($65.54)
BB ($50.48)
UTG ($7.33)
UTG+1 ($183.89)
Hero (MP1) ($61.95)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with K, A
2 folds, Hero bets $1, 2 folds, Button calls $1, SB calls $0.90, BB calls $0.75

Flop: ($4.40) 10, 8, J (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $2.10, 1 fold, SB calls $2.10, BB calls $2.10

Turn: ($10.70) Q (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $10, SB calls $10, 1 fold

River: ($30.70) K (2 players)
SB bets $12 HERO??

btn was 19/4 & bb was 31/10

villain= 33/25 over 19 hands

prob could of bet more otf but whatever...

options:

1. make super nit fold(lol)

2. call thinking 2 pair/sets & 9 high str8s wont call

3. raise for value vs ^^^ range & risk losing $ from the chop or getting stacked if he ever backdoored the flush

p.s it is $36 effective or 144bb otr once he donks

Re: 25NL AK 250bb deep turned str8, call or raise river?

I just call...I don't see any value hands that he can call with that aren't flushes. So no point in raising imo.

Actually, that reminds me of a hand I played today where I was absolutely sure we had the same hand and c/jammed trying to make villain fold. He didn't.

But I don't think villain has AK here.

snap call, not even close without more info than '33-25 over 19'
it's definitely not a fold vs this sizing

I don't like the flop cbet personally. This is a flop that smacks their ranges so we have very little Fe (esp when you bet just half pot). So I don't see any point in just bloating the pot 4 way with just 2 overs and a gutter.

River is just a call IMO.

Re: 25NL AK 250bb deep turned str8, call or raise river?

As played call is the only thing that makes much sense to me on the river. I don't think fold is an option given the price you're getting and the fact that your chopping a lot. I don't think you're scooping too often (never unless villain is terrible) and I'm sure you're beat some as well. And there's really nothing to get value from if you raise unless villain is an imbecile.

Also, I don't usually bet this flop unimproved in a four way pot. That board hits their ranges pretty well and you've whiffed so I'd let it go and wait for the next hand. I do like your bet size given that you've whiffed but your less than half ps cb is going to get called a lot on this board four ways. Obviously you're betting the Q turn, but why so much? Pot sized bet seems excessive to me, usually going to fold out everything else but 9s when a smaller bet (2/3 pottish?) might still get value out of some 2 pr hands that fold to the bigger bet.

Any reads on his river sizing in a spot like this previously? Its a fairly standard call though really. Will also add to the choir re: flop cbet. Flop likely connects with someone in a 4 way pot its prob a check/give up situation
