10nl 3way with qts

open is vpip/pfr 11/7, co is 8/5 and xr turn 20% (out of 15) - both about 2k hands

should I be playing this hand against these player types (if at all) to get into multiway pots

on the flop I only have tpgk, didn't see value in raising as its multiway, should I have?

on turn i have top 2 and don't want to see a club on river and want to get value from my hand - when I get raised I'm putting him on some sort of q with fd, should it be a fold?

thanks

Re: 10nl 3way with qts

Pre is ok. You can never go that wrong peeling with a suited broadway OTB, although against 2 nits you'll frequently flop a dominated pair. So proceed with caution.

Raising the flop is quite clearly insane. It's a dry board and there is zero value in raising. I guess you might get better to fold if he's the type to ditch one pair hands under pressure, but there's no value in a raise.

Folding is a better option. Nit 1 cbets, nit 2 calls on a dry board. You have top pair, no kicker (neither villain has worse Qx in his range). You can peel and pray for a T or a , but I think folding is best.

As played, sigh and fold to turn C/R. He has a set. AQ isn't out of the question, but there are more set combos out there that he can have.

Re: 10nl 3way with qts

ty for reply - yes he had the set

I'm struggling with folding top 2 in these situations - basically put him on a range and knew I was probably behind so picked the one combo I beat (AQS) and tilt shoved

You confirmed to me that set is obvious and I wasn't sure - think this is one of main leaks in my game, I look at the absolute hand strength and even when alarms go off in my head I still get it in.

If I sort this out and stop losing with KK vs AA pre I should be ok (again usually against 3/3 nit who never 3bets and I shove over his raise!)

This backs up my assertion that a split two pair is never value against most regs post-flop. That is why calling down is better in my opinion and then trying to stack your opponent if you make a surprising fuller.
