Im 28 and currently live in Texas but im ridiculously proud to be English!!
I began playing poker in about 2004 after watching WSOP coverage in England and started by depositing $50 into Pacific poker and grinding the very small SnGs and building something of a roll. My roommate at the time then found cash games and i began to dabble in those starting at 200nl. I will say that at the time you could only one table on Pacific and therefore a lot of the grinders who would of at that time destroyed my soul were not present as they were playing other sites where you could multi table. Within about 6 months of playing i was short stacking 600nl, which was the highest game they had available at the time, without actually knowing what short stacking was. I would sit with $120 and then when i hit $300 would leave and join another table. It certainly wasnt frowned upon at that time and even if it had been i wouldnt of cared as i wasnt spending time in forums etc. After rat holing the game for a few months i then began playing full stacked and stayed in that game until i decided to move back to the US about 4 years ago. My family were all living in Texas at the time and after getting my law degree i felt i might as well enjoy the cheaper cost of living in the States so i went for it. I withdrew all of my roll and made the plunge Stateside. After Pacific banned US players i joined FT and began playing 200nl. However it was at this time that i become involved in 2+2 and also got PT and realized that playing my 11/4 style wasnt going to work in the changing game. I then went down to 50nl/pl and decided to work on my game and retool it before moving back up. That was two years ago and for whatever reason i havent left $50nl/pl despite being rolled to play anything up to about $400nl. Not really sure why i havent moved up, i guess i just feel comfortable here.
Going to use this to drop a mention to the 2010 WSOP Grind House members. We are going to have a blast this summer for sure.
