Live Poker Down under

Cash Games are restricted to Casinos - I live In Sydney which has only one casino - there are not many tables between 20-30
Most of the tables are Holdem but there are a Manila/Omaha tables if enough interest in shown by the 50+ Greek/Australians
there are good 5-10 fixed and 10-20 fixed

The NLHE - max buyin $80 all the way to $5000
They Have regular $300 buyin tournies and The APPT final is here.
The game I used to play alot was essentially a shortstack structure of $200 buyin with 5-5 SB BB so 40BB
The Other good game is the 200min Buyin - $500 buyin game but that is only really soft on weekends otherwise its a mixture of lowlifes and rock garden regulars.

Dutch backpackers No sorry - but backpackers populate alot of the nightlife scene in Sydney but most are from UK and Ireland.

My biggest improvement since two plus two - is learning to protect my big starting hands preflop and on the flop better.
Use and Understanding of HUD - this is a work in progress.

I played a fair bit at Pokerroom and PartyPoker 5yrs back - where I would buyin cash games with 20% of my bankroll and have absolutely no idea - Somehow I was able to get by but was a serious donkey but not a serious donater either.
Advice is to read the archived threads and the links provided by 2+2ers with huge post counts and long time at 2+2.
To put an effort into your posts - more you put in the better and dont be discouraged if your first posts do not get a lot of responses but persist.
By Tracking software and make an effort into finding out how to use it.
And remember that alot of live poker experience you have will be completely upside down to moderately decent online poker.
And you only play at a level your bankroll can sustain. As I am not a heavy consistent winner drill this one into your brain

Meh digger I consider you a regular and I don't really think it should be a big deal who does a well. We don't want the forum flooded with them but we haven't had one in awhile and I don't really think it matters.
