Hero (MP): 463.5 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Q Q

fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, CO calls 3 BB, fold, SB raises to 12 BB, fold, Hero calls 9 BB, CO calls 9 BB

Flop: (37 BB, 3 players) 2 8 5
SB checks, Hero bets 18 BB, CO calls 18 BB, fold

Turn: (73 BB, 2 players) K
Hero bets 35.5 BB, fold

Hero wins 70.5 BB

CO is unknown, I only played 34 hands with him and he was 24/10 so far and did not spot anything worth noting in his play. I have doubts if my turn bet was fine? CO seems to be either slowplaying his set or has something like 66,77, 99, TT and I can get some value from them if I just c/c. I don't think he has too many hands in his range that called the flop and now improved to a flush draw so I don't need to protect either.

BTW, would you also call lower pocket pairs if you get a 3 bet on preflop? What about some suited connectors - JTs, QJs, is this a call or ez fold?

wp, flop and turn bet could be a little bigger though. think villain checks back all his non set pocket pairs and it's impossible for him to have a king here. good value bet

But value from what? Would you call non-set pocket pair turn if you were him? I just dont cbet this flop with air so if I were him, I would fold my pocket pair on turn. What worse hand will call me?

check turn, bet 1/3 on most rivers ...
or bet Turn like 10-15 BB...
he will have a hard time folding his pocket... might even turn into a bluff...
if we go with the assumption he has a pocket

when betting 35 BB you threating his whole stack right now cause he has only 50BB left, so it is easier for him to find a fold.

I think if he had a premium hand, he would not have called you OTF but he would have reraised you 100% of the time. Therefore, this is an easy call IMO.

V should call sets otf. Seems to me our turn action makes small/none dif only bet smaller to get some calls from 2nd pair. Or check and hope he turns a pair to bluff.
