Hello!

I would like to get some advice on how to play a hand. Keep in mind that I am playing this hand online (play money), so people can be totally crazy.

9 Players
Blinds 250/500
Stack sizes range between $40,000-80,000
Generally a lot of limping and post flop calling out of position

I'm holding AKo in the CO.
All players limp in for $500.

What should the bet size be? 3x the big blind or some ratio of the current pot size with all of the limps in it?

Then when you flop dry board that doesn't hit any of your cards and players check to you, do you risk a C-Bet, even if you know that a couple players will call pretty much anything?

Thanks for your thoughts!

I've never seen someone post a play-money hand in here before. I guess from a strategy/game theory point of view it's an interesting proposition since a good portion of the players more than likely literally won't care about losing their chips.

I'm gonna guess that it plays like no fold'em hold'em. In those kind of games hands with big implied odds are usually the best. AK is not one of those hands. It's generally good for making top pair top kicker type hands. So maybe either open shove (if you've seen people call those with AQ/AJ) or open to something stupid like 15 or 20 times the big blind (so 7,500-10,000 in this case).

If it turns out this is more like, say 2nl, then I'd say bet the pot pre-flop (so like 4,000) and aim to get it in if you hit an Ace or King on the flop.
