Hi all,

haven't played poker properly in about 2 years and just wanted some thoughts on the following hands i played today.

HAND 1

Poker Stars, $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 9 Players

Preflop: Hero is BTN with K

UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 raises to $0.06, 4 folds, Hero raises to $0.18, 2 folds, UTG+2 raises to $1 and is all-in, Hero??

I think I misplayed this hand......With no read is a fold? or is the general thought that AKo is strong enough to call here?

Is this a fold,call or shove? both villians should turn up with JJ+ here often and i reckon i will see alot of AJ+ and even some KQ KJ JT

What are peoples thoughts?

villan is player 29/21 over a small sample
his call on the flop makes me think i am up against Ax maybe 44 or 99
on the turn i like my raise i think it gets value from hands like A4 A9 AQ+

On the river should i just check back?

Hand 1: Villain is half stacked which is usually a fishy sign and you're only really scared of to holdings. Everything else you wither flip with or dominate. I'd call his shove.

Hand 2: I'd have bet bigger on this flop - nearer to pot since it's so wet. After UTG+2 raises all in you can't fold since it's only an additional 47c and there's $3.43 in the pot after MP3's call. The decision is whether to call or shove. MP3 is never going to fold to a shove since he already pot so much into the pot so it's got to be for value. There are enough drawing hands out there that I think he can call with worse here.

I think if you think that this is his range then you should stick out a bet for value of say $1 since there's only one hand in there that's now ahead of you. I'd fold to any raise.

Hand 1 I would fold cos most of the time You are going to flip or be crushed. If You have any reads that he can do it with wider range like AT+ just ship it. Other thing is Your tilt issues. If You know that when You're going to loose to 88 and You're going to blow just fold.

Hand 2 Raise bigger preflop. There's already a lot of action before You and a lot of money in the middle. I would squeeze it to 32 - 36.
OTF If You're not afraid of sets just jam it. If You saw them drawing a lot jam it. If they are nits especially MP3 it sucks but are committed already so You have to go broke anyway with this hand cos its +EV. Calling doesn't acomplish anything. I would fold only with a strong NIT read like the guy never put big money in the middle without 2P+.

Hand 3 If You put the guy on certain range and You're ahead You should bet. I think 60 is enough to be called by worse but I would fold to a raise cos that turn call looks strong and he has 44,99,JJ in his range as well.

Some really good advice which I will look to add to my game!

Hand 3 was the hand that put me a bit on tilt as I put out a bet OTR and he raised and I couldn't find a fold and he showed AK!!!

Oh well I will make note of it and move on
