I think I should've folded here.
I seem to keep ending up in these spots calling with worse hands.

I was seriously thinking on getting it in on the flop or turn, but nothing worse is calling. Except maybe KK and QQ?

By the river I'm only ahaid of QQ and AK and those hands probably don't shove?

Raise to 4 or 5BB preflop.
40-50 BBs bet on the flop + calling any subsequent shove. You especially shouldn't be giving any free cards on a board like this when you're quite likely still ahead.

What worse hands are calling a 40BB bet on this flop?

You have 6 hands on the villain which is basically meaningless. So against a standard 2nl villain you're potentially getting calls from QQ, AK, AQ, KQ, possibly even A10. I don't include KK as we have to assume that that would have shoved preflop.

If you're not c-betting here then you're both losing value and also risk being outdrawn.

if your 4betting pre, stacks need to be getting in.

Agree with this. After the 4B pre, your effective SPR is less than one so stacks are going in at some point in the hand.
