Villain is a competent regular. Multi-tables but never plays heads-up.
I have a few notes/stats on him. The more relevant ones are:
- Calls pre-flop 2bets 15% of the time
- Really low flop c-bet (41%)
- I've seen him check-call 3 streets with show-down value
- Only time I've seen him raise a flop is with 2-pair
- I've seen him take stabs on the flop in 3bet pots but shut down and c/f on later streets after being called
UTG was a massive fish so not sure if that affected villain's calling range (probably not, given his own early position)
Pre-flop my plan for the hand was to try and see a cheap flop (I had 2 nits to my left so wasn't too concerned with being 3bet) with a hand that could flop big.
On the flop. I elect to call seeing as I want to keep the fish in the hand and I think I'm well ahead of villain's range also.
Turn: The sizing of villain's turn bet kind of caught me off guard. I had suspected that he might go into c/c mode to try and get to showdown with something like AK/AQ. I haven't seen villain run any bluffs in the past (at least not where he got caught anyway). I think it's too nitty to fold with my under-repped hand but I don't see what raising accomplishes so I call again
River: Is there anything at all that I beat that he plays like this?
How would you play this hand?
