Our Future
The globe is sadly groaning with debt, poverty and strife
And billions now are pleading to enjoy a better life
Their hope lies with resources buried deep within the earth
And the enterprise and capital which give each project worth
Is our future threatened with massive debts run up by political hacks
Who dig themselves out by unleashing rampant tax
The end result is sending Australian investment, growth and jobs offshore
This type of direction is harmful to our core
Some envious unthinking people have been conned
To think prosperity is created by waving a magic wand
Through such unfortunate ignorance, too much abuse is hurled

She's a fat bitch, but she might be a little bit right. Especially in a country like Australia, where even poor people have incredible opportunity to get educated, work hard, and make money.

Is there ANY coorelation at all between how hard someone works and how much money they earn?
If there is then doesn't working harder make you more money (at least in ev?)

It's not about working harder, it's about working smarter and some people just don't have the capacity to do that. A lot of poor people work day and night for minimum wage.. it won't make them a millionaire! She should go to somewhere like the Philippines and tell that to a guy working 20 hours/day just to feed his kids, I'm sure it'll go down well.

She also said something along the lines of " we should lower the min wage in Australia because people in Africa are "willing" to work for $2 a day. They're risking death right now for higher wages.

I don't agree that rich people work less than others but they do lose touch with most of society.
