"There is no monopoly on becoming a millionaire," she said by way of encouragement.

"Become one of those people who work hard, invest and build, and at the same time create employment and opportunities for others."

Boom. Almost too easy.

Why are people poor? Rinehart blamed what she described as "socialist," anti-business government policies, and urged Australian officials to lower the minimum wage and cut taxes.

"The millionaires and billionaires who choose to invest in Australia are actually those who most help the poor and our young," she said. "This secret needs to be spread widely."

And now it's out there.

That way, the poor people can work more but earn less. And business owners can increase profits.

She is a wonderful person ... as beautiful inside as she is outside.

In fairness Australia has an incredibly high minimum wage, AUD $15.96/hr. ($16.34USD)

The numbers are lower for apprentices and people under 21, but $15.96/hr. is a pretty high for minimum wage, over double the USA minimum wage.

The issue is that when people become dependent on the government they tend to vote for the Democrat party, so even though lives are ruined for generations when they get caught in the welfare mentality Democrats say f-em as long as they get political power.

Wow, $16 p/h is pretty high, nearly double ours in the UK and i'd find it hard to believe they have a higher COL (could be wrong)

To be fair in general her statement is correct, poor people do need to work more.

Just because she inherited her money doesn't make that statement incorrect. She got lucky, most people don't.
