Where is this guy filming? So many of the people are so aggro.

People are so sensitive. You can record people in a public place can't you? So if anyone did break the camera or attack the cameraman they'd actually be breaking the law.

Does he have to get their permission to upload this to YT?

IANAL but I believe for non-commercial use you can record in public areas. If he is making money off views on his YT videos he may be open to a lawsuit.

I wish someone would do this camera thing except after people assault him, I'd like to see him beat their asses instead of running away.

True, but in this case they can see the stalker behind the camera.

of course they realise it. cctv and security cam surveillance is an accepted element of today's society, whereas some ******* sticking a camcorder in your face on the street is not. theyre totally different.

This is very strange but very legal he is breaking no laws. You can record in public you just can't profit from the video. Now I am in Canada and that has been proven in court and I am assuming there is similar in The Excited States. My point about cameras everywhere is the basis that was argued and is true we are watched more times per day now then ever before.

sure, i dont think anyone's questioning the legality, and people definitely understand that security cameras film them all the time when they're walking the streets. but unlike with a business, where it's very obvious what cameras are there for, with this guy it's the individual aspect of the filming, the unknown motives for the filming and the physical intrusion of personal space that is confronting, plus he's basically being a douchebag for nothing other than his own amusement.

I don't know. This video certainly says something about people in general, I think, and it's not anything good. This guy was assaulted numerous times.

I mean, if I'm out somewhere and some dude starts filming me, I'm either going to think he is nuts, or that he is partaking in some kind of experimental project (like he is). The last thing I would do is try to destroy his camera or assault him.

I have a hard time believing that it's legal to disrupt a place of business. If he's walking into stores and restaurants bothering customers, I should think the proprietor has every right to ask him to leave immediately.

I didn't watch this entire clip, but if he's actually following people with his camera, I have a hard time believing that's legal as well. Sure, it's okay to start filming, but if someone walks away, I'm pretty sure you can't keep following them without reason. Why wouldn't that become harassment or stalking?

I'm slightly embarrassed by this, but I root for people like this to get the living crap beaten out of them. They're clearly looking for amusing reactions, so it should be no surprise when they get one. Even if it's not amusing to them.

i think half of it is just that it's weird for someone to walk up to you on the street and stand in your face, camera or no. if i was sitting there minding my business and someone walked up to me and stood in my face i'd take it as a pretty unusual and potentially aggressive action. and i think it shows in that people he approaches who are just walking down the street or he's further from have generally milder reactions than people he just sneaks up on.

What's interesting to me is that people get behind him "because it's legal", as if that's all the reason one needs to do things. I could likewise make a video of me walking around being as rude as I can to people while not breaking any laws.

If all society needs to function is legal behaviour, and not an ounce more of courtesy, we are in trouble. Forget holding the door open, or giving up a seat to a pregnant woman, cause I'm in the legal right.

I get it's amusing, but don't make this more than the funny video it is by suggesting he's right.
