yeah, so apparently I'm retarded and I had forgotten that upgrading the mana pool increases the mana AND SCORE multipliers. In order to get the early rounds out faster I was building more towers and gems immediately before upgrading the mana... so I kept going faster with no score improvements

You may enjoy Dinglepop then, aj. It's another bubble popping extravaganza. It's played vs other players. Also, I may have mentioned this in the past but Blockles (Tetris multiplayer) is worth mentioning again.

I like it, but it frustrates me how fast the difficulty rises.

For awhile, I'm planning ahead and making precise calculating shots. Two levels later, I'm firing 4 shots a second at one side, praying I get a bomb, so I can fire it at the other side and drop the whole thing at once.

Shift 3 just dropped, and it's awesome. Easier than the previous ones, but with achievements. Feels more like a traditional mario/donkey kong-type platformer.
