Good call. I'm going to play again maxing out the blue tree and see what that's like. I guess it would be pretty devastating.

I've practically maxed the blue and red trees and am moving onto the green now. The blue towers are a little OP to be honest in the later waves when 70% of their hits confuse the enemy and have a high percentage to freeze them.

I've got a few brilliants just by ninjas being frozen just before the gems. Sooo satisfyingly lucky.

I suppose I should upgrade my meteor damage then at some point if I'm to kill that boss..

Just started it this morning, took about 5-6hrs to finish it..

Once I actually figured out what I was doing I don't think I had any problems with Brilliants until the second to last level because of the boss.

You only get one shot at him before he goes invis and snatches a gem, and full meteor strike leaves him 400ish hp IIRC. Level 7 ballista tower (green) was able to do the trick finally after using blues/other orc towers @lvl7. Make sure you delete any towers near the top left corner that would take first shot away, obv I left the one on top of the hill for dmg% increase

Another thing I realized pretty late but what made early game auto-pilot, setting up for late game was:

Using the cut down mastery/study.. I was getting 100gold every 70 mana (50 mana potentially) I spent to cut down a tree, just spam that early while you get your towers on mana spots, and make sure you have blue all maxed the mana comes pouring in. Just make sure you watch the minimap that shows the next waves for any ninjas or those 50% miss blade guys

I almost want to play it all over and do something else, but it takes too much time, fun stuff tho

In the unlikely event that anyone cares, I got the impossible badge on Elona Shooter. Now I gotta do something productive before I get addicted to this tower thing.

Okay I think I specced horribly wrongly, I avoided all the stuff to do with mana, was going for the delicious less money and experience needed upgrades for all. Only got brilliants for the first 8 so far and level 26.

I can start again I suppose, thats what those other savefiles are for..

Well.. I went back and played that tower d again, got it all done in 20 levels, kinda ****ed up on the 2nd to last and let the boss die after he had stole a gem so I got a ton of exp I didnt want. (Also forgot about the hill crit skill and dumped 3 points into useless crap trying to finish off the 2nd to last boss, easily the hardest level to finish without a great setup, unless I'm missing some tower that is better than the catapult level 7 from den, dunno)

I think I could cut it down to level 17-18ish, tree cutting for gold is OP w/ full mana+20mana from temples

Kinda difficult to explain but:

Spoiler:

grab the block the rises and stretch the cord down until it passes the block that kills you. Then climb the cord going around that death block and go across the ceiling

shoot the block that goes up, hold left once you are outside of the horizontal bar (far left) hold up and you will climb up to the block while it rises, and then just grapple across the top to the end of level

I got about 35 minutes. I only had 8 minutes going in to level 40 though. Those last 10 were a huge PITA.

I dunno how you're killing the penultimate boss, the darts from my L7 orc thingy do like 270 damage, I meteor him 5 times and he still has 130 health left. I got max green upgrades.
