Nerds who act tough on the internet

Just look at these nerds trying to play police officer on the internet....what a bunch of dorks....

If you want to troll them, have fun, because they FREAK out if people upload other people's pictures. They then ban together and say "HEY ART THIEF STOP STEALING ART, YOU ART THIEF"

I took a bullet for all of us and clicked it because I'm dumb like that. Link is fine. Yea, they mad. Apply trolling at your leisure.

How's that so different from this site which opposes posting copyrighted articles or discussing where to find torrents etc?

it's not really. can save yourself some time if trolling is your game and just do it here. or about a billion more sites.

I understand their argument. I wouldn't want my stuff all over either if I had plans for it for future value. But it's the internet.

It's not, but given 2+2's business as a book publisher and their own piracy problems...

Plus those DeviantArt people are mostly small scale independents, not Metallica or some faceless corporation. I've seen cases where people have just flat out stolen their work and uploaded it to an image reseller & or places like 99 Designs. Not talking about hotlinking but flat out stealing and profiting from.

What's your beef in all this OP? Are you just running around the Internet recruiting help to fight your battles for you? Did you get called out for stealing someone else's work?

Re: Nerds who act tough on the internet

Way back when I was first learning Photoshop I was on a hobby site making DVD covers from stock art. You'd buy some credits cheap and get hi-res movie posters and other resources from a handful of places, then make a new DVD cover out of them. Just a hobby, people gave each other pointers and it was a relatively small group. Good learning experience and imo the sort of thing that makes the Internet awesome.

Next thing you know one of my better ones appeared on eBay as the cover of somebody's bootleg for sale, and I looked to find the same seller was using covers from the site to sell pirated stuff as "imports." That didn't even put us out any money and people were pissed. I can't imagine how some 17-year-old kid in India would feel too see some douchebag ripping his hard work off that they might be trying to sell.

Nerds? Dorks? One hopes that OP will outgrow the sociopathy of high school.
