It's funny how people internalize objects.

There's only a connection to slavery if you make a connection to slavery.

Because chains tied to peoples' ankles have been used for so many other things throughout history. It's pretty much slaves and prisoners, me thinks.

We really want to know how they thought this would be a good idea by any stretch of the imagination.

Also, it looks ****ing dumb as ****. No one in their right mind would be caught wearing these, negative conotations with slavery aside.

an ankle shackle makes me think of a prisoner not a slave, and a velcro ankle shackle attached to a shoe doesn't particularly make me think of either. much ado about nothing, but i guess that's the way things are nowadays.
