Not sure she wants to work to get to that point. And besides, we have definitely found a new game to play together, and its name is Pokémon Go.

Well, it's Silicon Valley beer week, so going out and having a snifter of expensive beer and throwing balls at digital monsters is more attractive than staying home, playing connect the dots, and wanting to barf.

Bought this earlier to play with the wife.

I throw it on the steam link on the big screen, so she can see the puzzles and I play on the PC monitor. We solve the puzzles together. She's pretty hooked and it's pretty fun.

Why?

Found some annoying pink thing with tree-like things.

Got the first 3 or so done, but the one turns off if you get it wrong.

Trying to find rhyme and reason to how to solve it.

Wife gave me $20 on steam as part of Christmas so I picked this up during the winter sale. Played till 5AM the first day and had a blast. Got her to play as well and it seemed like she enjoyed it. Was difficult to watch her play though. She didn't want to run as it was too "scary"

2nd session including hours in mspaint. Wife is way better at Tetris puzzles than I am. She is now an essential resource.

Ok, probably not a spoilerish question at all, but just want to be safe.

Spoiler:
If I come up to a puzzle, I've done the training puzzles for the general type of puzzle, and the panel is available to me, am I supposed to be able to solve that puzzle right away? Or are there occasionally events needed to trigger that would add some additional thing to the puzzle? I've spent probably 2 hours obsessing over what appears to be a relatively easy puzzle with no complex mechanics, and can not for the life of me find a solution.

If it is in the area dedicated to that particular puzzle type, the assumption is that you're equipped with the knowledge to solve it. Sometimes the puzzles force you to re-learn what you already thought or "knew" about how they work, though.

If it is in a completely separate area from that puzzles "home area" or whatever, it is possible that there's another element to the puzzle that you're not supposed to understand yet.

appreciate it

Spoiler:
yeah i needed to view it from a new perspective. how i was attempting it was literally unsolveable. it ended up being the key to that entire area. the way this game takes a simple puzzle and turns it into something like that where one puzzle opens up to be something way more is just great.

somewhere between 6 or 7 hours, just got the tetris laser. 170 puzzles done today. mind is melted. so many cool things with those puzzle. so hard. i had to play around on paint trying to stack a bunch of pieces on one puzzle, and the end portion of that area with the 9x9-2 that you play around with was incredible.

i loved every minute of it.

Spoiler:
idk what i liked more. The hedge puzle where you realized you had to listen to the sound was hilarious. i was so stumped on it. the wheels with seeing the outlines by the sun and water reflection were so so so cool. by the end of the tetris peices my mind was blown by all the cool things you could do with it.

i want to play more but i cant think

and heres my 3584509th attempt to stack those things, which i lovably saved as "suck it game"
