took a week or so off and banged out the last few today for my endgame trophy

currently at 435+74, trying to go back and finish some of the puzzles that had me stumped (see in spoilers). still have no idea how to get endgame started...

Spoiler:
under the windmill - was stumped on the 2 under windmill for the longest time and just finally got one to open the door, which basically serves no purpose. disappointing. still missing 2 honeycombs.

finally got the last puzzle for the mazes (the one that pops up AFTER you get the laser. seems like nothing happened though?)

still havent solved the "1%" puzzle on the ship

the last puzzle in the "colored dots" area of the middle town...didn't need it to get the laser originally but spent a ton of time on this previously, unsuccessfully obviously.

Still on days where I want to buy this... Others I don't.

Guess I'm waiting for sale.

Finally entered the secret endgame area and loving it. Nice to be back to the open world-type feel that's been absent since the beginning of the game (as most of the last few weeks has been spent trying to figure out the remaining half dozen unsolved puzzles that have stumped me for weeks)

Dwade the game is already cheaper than other ps4 games (think its 40 vs 60?) so I'm not sure a sale would discount it by much.

Just started playing this.

Kind of confused as to why this is fun. Feels like luminosity. Might not be for me or might just be early.

Also the graphics are ugly.

Usually i use video games as a procrastinator's way to avoid working out. Now i'm headed to workout as a way to avoid playing this game. Witness GOAT.

I think you've spent too much time repeatedly moving lines through mazes on stupid panels. Your sarcasm detector is malfunctioning.

completed THE CHALLENGE!!!
Spoiler:
honestly didn't take too long but it was becoming more and more stressful with each attempt. here's the vid if anyone cares. imo not much of a spoiler for those who havent done it since the puzzles change each time. i made pretty good time until the maze, where i began to panic when i couldn't find the second puzzle. then clutched a photo finish.

I think you shouldn't have made such a realistic and plausible post as a joke and expected it to be detected

I was just saying that i prefer working out (a chore) to playing this game.

I am pretty intrigued by the stone dudes i found. There's a secret service guy wearing a sword, a dude carrying to santa clause bags that also gets beat in a fencing match by a girl, etc. I want to find out what's going on there so i'm gonna do more of these odious puzzles. But i'm not having fun.

A tip for the CHALLENGE:
Spoiler:
When you get to the group of 3 black & white blob puzzles, you can quickly identify the impossible ones because they will (99% of the time) feature the same pattern: 2 white and 2 black blobs in a 2x2 checkerboard formation. If you see that pattern anywhere on the grid, you know it's impossible (you'd need to be able to make a cross shape with your line to separate them), and you will NEARLY always see this on 2 of the panels. Occasionally you get a different, even more obvious impossible one like a single blob surrounded by off-colour blobs on all sides.

The next set of 3 panels with the 2 green and blue blobs is harder to quickly identify as impossible, though I find you usually want to find one where the blue and green blobs are as far away from each other as possible. If there is ever a blue blob and green blob adjacant to each other (including diagonally) it is likely to be impossible, though this rule doesn't hold up anywhere near as often as the black/white checkerboard thing.

Completed the challenge!!! It took a while, and during which I started developing a strong dislike of Edvard Grieg!

Brag: didn't use mspaint or pen and paper once during the game.

I did have to brute force one of the swamp puzzles and I think I just luckboxed the "1% puzzle".

Very enjoyable game, on to Talos principle next...

I am actually enjoying this game a bit. Certain puzzle types frustrate me like nothing else tho. 113 panels done.

I want to get this for the wife to play on steam link. Anyone heard anything about using steam controller to play the game?

I did some googling, but I only saw older posts about partial support.

Gonna try to get my gf hooked on this tomorrow. She's not a gamer so either...
- she'll come at it with an open mind, unburdened by the past experiences we've all had that have closed us off from open-ended thinking, and crush
- it will be way too hard and she'll hate me
Kind of an odd bump, and I haven't read most of the thread so as to avoid spoilers, but do you think this game would be fun to play with your SO at the same time? Or would it only be enjoyable on your own? MrsWookie and I are looking for a new game to play together as Diablo 3 is nearing the end of its life.

It won't have near the legs of Diablo 3 - but I would say yes, good for a couple to play through together. So long as you're both into the format of the puzzle solving, of course.

My gf played it once and kinda liked it but I think she's just not enough into video games in general to pursue it further. So, couldn't really tell you, but if you enjoy the puzzle style then you'd probably both enjoy it.

Well, we went ahead and pulled the trigger on this one. We're about an hour and 51 puzzles deep. We informally settled on giving her the mouse for the most part and me ASDF, and it works better than expected, not that I had any idea of the nature of the puzzles in this game. I was expecting a little more Myst-like "Is this even the sort of **** I want to be clicking on right now?" so knowing that a puzzle is a puzzle I actually prefer. MrsWookie likes it so far, but we had to call it quits due to what (hopefully) is some ordinary pregnancy-associated nausea that was making just about anything not fun.

By "anything" do you mean anything in the game or anything at all? I did get some motion sickness playing on day 1 (was rather common with this game for some reason, though I think they made some attempts at patching it later on), but after a couple hours I got used to it.

(btw, congrats!)

Even if patched, imagine only controlling part of the motion. Has to be even more unsettling. I also had headaches and nausea for the first few days of playing the game, and it's the first and only time I've gotten motion sickness or whatever it was.

Not sure if it was game related, but she wasn't feeling well doing anything for the rest of the night.

Welp it appears the nausea was game related. Our second attempt didn't go any better. Looks like this as an unforeseeable bust, because if it weren't for her nausea, it would be pretty fun.

I believe there are some anti-nausea options added - the game certainly gave more than the usual share of people a bit of queasy at release. notably I think "always show crosshair" or something like that.
