Man, I was so pumped when I saw inFamous 2 for $10...but it's not available for shipping, so I look at store pickup and it's not available anywhere in the entire Bay Area. Awesome.

Still some good deals though, AC: Revelations for $10, Gears of War 3 for $15.

Re: We should have a "random ****" thread in this forum imo

Finished the book Masters of Doom by David Kushner the other day. It's about the history of id Software, John Carmack, John Romero, American McGee, etc. I love non-fiction narratives, especially when about computer/video game history (Hackers, from the early '80s, is amazing). This one was really solid even though FPS's are not my cup of tea.

There's a bit of a lull when it addresses Columbine and government crackdowns, but otherwise it's great stuff. It's made me want to play every single id game plus solid Doom clones of that era - Doom, Doom II, Hexen/Heretic and sequels, Dark Forces, Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, etc.

Now it's on to Jacked, about Rockstar Games and the history of Grand Theft Auto. Same author, just came out this year.

Just got a new computer, and my first main task on it is to play Portal for the first time. I must be the biggest video game nerd to not have played it yet.

I wonder if my Nintendo Powers are at my parents house. I loved those polls and still remember the pull-out Zelda map.

Re: We should have a "random ****" thread in this forum imo

The entire SC4 community has their heads so far up their asses it's incredible. Even the COD kiddies are fun compared to those morons.

They made a new awesome mod that enables to expand the range of different buildings nearly doubling them. Cool, will download.

After downloading the main file, I see I need sub dependencies. Cool, will download. After the basic dependencies ( 5 ) I still don't get it to work. After more checking I understand I need to single building packs. Cool, 25 downloads.

Every single of those files came with an installer. 25 installers. Select all - run. Can do.

Still not working.

I check the readme of a pack and see something amazing. I need to download dependencies of the packs ( dependencies of dependencies of dependencies - LOL ). And the best part? What I have to download is ONLY written in the readme of each pack, no other way to get a fast list. I need to manually search for everything.

I would have to download around +60 new .rars and each comes with an installer. So I decide to check the forums for a complete pack ( lol me, should have done that immediately ). Results? The texture authors don't want to give permission to others to make a complete pack, same for the model makers and so on, so they don't have to mix their files.

These ****ing morons want me to download more than 80 files ( each with their own installer!!!!! ) becuase they don't want to mix their files with files other people made!!!!!! THIS IS MOTHER****ING FILE NAZISM!!!!! THE PURE TEXTURE RACE!

GO BURN IN HELL YOU *******S! You disgust me.
