Yea I had to buy a PS1 memory card a few years back when I was on a Resident Evil kick (I had to play every prequel before playing RE4, actually did play every prequel, and to this day have not started 4). You'll feel like a champ if you buy a still-sealed official PS1 memory card and open that sucker up.

Stupid Phantom Hourglass! I bought it to dick around with and spent the last 5 hours playing it!

It's just so good!

I mean.. some of the mechanics blow, like the rolling thing, but everything else so far is just bliss!

It would have helped had the used copy I bought came with instructions so I'd know to
Spoiler:
blow on the mic to put out those first few candles
, but still, very cool.

I'm very impressed with the way they've incorporated the stylus mechanics and overall DS features. I about shat myself laughing when I figured out how to
Spoiler:
make an imprint on my map by closing the DS itself.

I was impressed with this game in the way I hoped to be impressed with the Wii Zelda game, but wasn't.

I'm sure that will wear off on my 20th trip thru the mysterious sand ridden temple thingy.

So I've had a computer hooked up to my TV/stereo for a while for music/random web surfing, and I just got an emulator and 600ish NES games to play on a 56," and I'm having a blast.

The keyboard works fine, but does anyone have any recommendations on decent wireless controllers that I could use?

A wireless gamepad for use with the PC. I like the 360 remote style though so I may go for that.

After Googling though it appears the cost/hours played with wouldn't be very good so I may just suck it up and use the keyboard.

Just rented Mario & Sonic at the Olympics. Wow, what a terrible game. No variety. No skill involved. Just shake your controller.

Dibbs, you can use 360 wireless controller on your PC. You will need to download the drivers from MS, and also have a wireless receiver for it, or just use a wired controller instead.

Just buy a cheap wired controller. Is your pc really that far from your tv that you have to have wireless everything?

Having settled into the "wireless generation" now (since PS3/360/Wii all have wireless controllers) I can't ever imagine going back to wired controllers. Sure, it's not a huge pain, but it's one of those things that's soooo nice to get away from.

They make wirless xbox controllers for the pc, but i don't think the controller is really compatible with older games.

Here is a review

I just started playing zelda: oracle of seasons after picking up the pair and a gameboy color. I'm pretty happy with the purchase. The game so far is a blast and I'm glad I finally have a chance to play it. Some other games I bought on my recent binge were: bionic commando (gbc), metroid 2 (gb), super mario land (gb), sml2 (gb), wario land (sml 3) (gb). Any more recommendations for gb/gbc? I also already had zelda 4 (gb).

astroglide, no. I just really enjoyed the comparison sitting next to each other. I play both types of games still, but it's funny too look at the difference. This was made better by the fact that at first I didn't realize those were nextgen photos. I thought they were real (well, the second one more than the first).

Rubbrband the 360 controllers will work with older gen games on emulators. You can still map the buttons when using emulators.

After some helpful advice in another thread, I decided to get a wii.... or so I thought. I had no idea they were so hard to find, even though they've been out a while. Everyone had Xbox 360s but Walmart, Target, Bestbuy, Circuit City, and Meijer(a Walmart clone based in MI) were all out of them. I guess I'll have to see if any of the online retailers have them.

I ordered a Wii from Stars (I'm too lazy to track one down and have many points) Does anyone know if it really takes 4-6 weeks to receive? I want to grab some games and accesories before it arrives and probably need to dismantle half my living room to get it hooked up.

Flytrap, where do you live?

I'm out in Vegas and have no issues getting a Wii. If you can't track one down in the near future we could always make arrangements, I could get it and ship it to you.

(I do understand that some internet random guy might not be trust worthy, but I felt compelled to make the offer).

I live in the Detroit area. Every time I called a place they answered my inquires as if they had been asked about wiis a hundred times. I actually ended up ordering a bundle on Walmart.com, but I appreciate the offer of getting one for me. I was pretty shocked that none of the stores had them, and I was dying to get one so I just ordered online.

My friend went to some festival a couple nights ago where Foghat was playing, I guess. They had a Guitar Hero tournament and he won. The spoils was a Guitar Hero bundle (dunno which game) and the guitar hero guitar was autographed by Foghat.

I find it pretty lol, all told. But it's definitely pretty cool for him.
