Re: We should have a "random ****" thread in this forum imo
The GC controller is fine, but for some games it's kind of awkward to play but doesn't affect anything after a little adjustment.

i abstained from buying the classic controller until i grabbed the snes castlevania game. i found it unplayable on a wavebird, but most other stuff was cool.
my wavebird also seems to get random rf interference that causes its signal to temporarily but frustratingly drop, so classic avoids that too.

Interesting. I don't have a wavebird just a regular GC controller but the only game I had trouble with was Super Mario World and that was because the run and jump buttons got reversed.

Did you actually play through every single level on SMB3 or use warps?

Yay, finished everything on SMW except the "Special" levels (Gnarly, Tubular, etc.)
Also got Yoshi's Island. It definitely looks silly at first. But you can't really go wrong with a Mario platformer (except SMB 1), so I'm definitely going to play it through. After that, I'll probably work my way through the 3D portion of the Mario platformer series (64, Sunshine, and Galaxy). I'm starting to get an unhealthy obsession with Mario games.

Re: We should have a "random ****" thread in this forum imo
I've cleared SMW with 96 goals in one sitting before, and I still play it every so often.
Same with SMW2, and I've 100%ed all levels and beaten the game using my feet (standard controller) with a ~80% average score per level. Of course this was when I was like 15 and had no life.

LOL, nice job. This reminds me when I used to play Street Fighter 2 with a blind fold to make it more fair when I played against my friends.

Those crazy japanese have too much time on their hands. this guy spend six months making an automatic play SMW hacked level that played along with some random music. needless to say it's awesome:

Re: We should have a "random ****" thread in this forum imo
So is anyone else really really excited about seeing this being released in a few months?
September 16, FTW. I think its awesome that its gonna be completely updated(I think its gonna be much like the PSX version that didn't get stateside). I also think its awesome that the entire Zenthian saga is being sent to the DS, as in DQ IV, DQ V, and DQ VI.

I'm excited about DQ 4 because I only have 1-3 for the regular NES! Never got around to getting 4 since it was pretty damn rare and expensive.
when they put out 4-6 I'll be set and own them all, so totally stoked about this myself!!!

Re: We should have a "random ****" thread in this forum imo
I unfortunately do own DWIV for the NES, but never really started it, and now none of my 3 NESii work so I can't even check if the battery still works to sell it. Now I'm torn between playing the original version with the glorious NES graphics and the new version, or some combination.
Similar with V and VI...it's cool that we're getting the games sort of, but isn't part of the charm the Super Famicom graphics?
