yes.

there's nothing (beyond the connections) that fundamentally distinguishes a computer monitor from a TV.

I just started playing Oblivion for the first time a few days ago. This game is so ****ing awesome. I won't say how many hours play time I have clocked in 3 days. Kind of embarassing.

as long as the monitor has a hdmi input or even if it doesn't you can get a hdmi to dvi adapter or a hdmi to dvi cord.

Cat5 patchcable or cat6 patchcable. LANcable, i guess these all mean the same. It's the same which goes from your router to your PC.

But you could always look at the back of your PS3.

It's very cool and fun. I bought it for 20 bucks a few months back and think it was a bargain at that price.

The makers of World of Goo are holding a sale where you can buy the game for whatever you want. So yes even a penny. Great puzzle game if you have yet to check it out.

i'm starting research for a ps3 purchase - is it really just as easy as getting the model that has the backwards compatibility? or is there some huge hidden benefit that the non-compatible models have? i have a bunch of old ps2 games that i'd probably play again over the next few years, and the only ps3 games i'm really interested in are god of war 3 (and the gow 1&2 re-release) and castlevania: lords of shadow. i'd also use it to play dvds since the 360 completely blows ass as a dvd player.

The newer PS3s are slimmer (obviously) and have more storage capacity. The only reason emulation was taken out of current gen PS3s is because it was too expensive and Sony needed to cut costs.

Amazon is having a promotion where if you spend $80+ on select titles, they will give you a $40 credit to spend on games. I bit on Borderlands and Fable 2 for $82 total. Planning on spending the $40 on MW2.

Best Buy is currently having a Buy 2, Get 1 Free on anything under $60 (which is most of their games I think). 360, PS3, and Wii are all covered.

For some reason Best Buy Canada isn't offering the same deal (****!). Was gonna buy the new Fifa, probably NHL, and get a free game. Sucks, but good luck to all you Americans.

Bought 360 Arcade. I'm told I need more space.

What's the best way? I hear I can buy my own HDD, but that will void warranty?

Anyone who bought the Arcade want to share the path they took?

I know Microsoft used to sell refurbished 20GB hard drives for $20. Not sure if they still do.

If not, get the MW2 edition. For $200 more than the arcade, you get a game you're probabably going to buy anyways($60), an extra controller($50), and a 250GB($100++) hard drive.

I bought an Arcade (to get a Jasper motherboard) and then the 60GB Live starter pack (hard drive, 3 months Live Gold, headset).

Khaos, I've already purchased the Arcade.

astro, thanks for the input. It seems like the starter packs might be the best option. Not the cheapest, but probably the best choice anyway.
