Finished Empire, and now I'm onto Undead myself.

Empire with two multi-healers wasn't very hard after you got your healers leveled up a bit. I like that sometimes though.

Now as Undead, I'm using a Knight god and a Knight main leader. The amount of money I burn through on potions and resurrections is incredible. You're right, not having a healer is tough! Introduces some delay into the game, too. It's a good thing the game starts you on Empire by default, or new players might wind up quitting early. I dig the unit design of the Undead a lot, though.

And I'm curious what it would be like having a Nosferatu leader.

The Nosferatu dude is probably terribad until he gets leveled up enough to actually do some damage. The greatest strength of a leveled up Empire mage is how much damage he does to every opponent, but the Nosferatu dudes do like, what, 1/3 that much? And your ranged leaders typically don't take a lot of heat except against certain army types, so the health drain ability is only marginally helpful.

On a strat board I've been reading, people say once the nosferatu gets to level 3, put him up front and center so he'll get injured constantly. That'll give him lots of HP to drain from everybody else.

Sounds kind of interesting, but expensive I guess if you have a warrior lord. And with no healers, natural healing seems priceless to me.

Btw I'm playing empire through again, and figured out how to get the soul crystal this time, and level much quicker. That soul crystal is phenomenal, and I wish I had it on my original character.

Anyway mostly I'm concentrating on the undead saga now, and it is much tougher than playing empire. And takes a lot of micromanagement, getting multiple thieves constantly stealing health potions and passing them back and forth so they can still steal twice per turn. Still fun though, but the melee leader is a bit unexceptional in almost every way so far.

So how about this Infamous? Open-world post-apocalyptic city thing. I'm leaning more and more towards buying a PS3 before I buy a 360.

I thought this was pretty cool. Someone made a stop motion Mega Man montage out of paper.

looked promising, a lot could go wrong with this game

fyi, ps3s were 300 on the dell website a week or so ago (the 80gig ones, so basically 100 off)

If the past 2.5 years have anything to teach about gaming, it should be to judge a system based on the games that are released - not on the hype of games yet to be released.

Also, Luminous Arc on the DS is damn fun. It feels alot like Final Fantasy Tactics, but I'm enjoying it even more since it's somewhat more balanced and has an interesting story.

Not being able to see the attack range of enemies (like in advanced wars) as opposed to just their movement range, however, is life tilting especially when in some cases there's no way to know if a guy's mellee can go two squares or one. Just annoying. I also found the game basically impossible to play with the stylus but it works just fine with the d-pad.

In this case this is a final review, just early.

IGN is especially bad for this. Remember the IGN GTA 4 preview that hailed it as the most unbelievably incredibly amazing uber super game to ever grace gaming?

Wolverine is a decent rental. Basic hack and slash game, fight the same 2 bosses all the way throughout, boss fights seemed like an afterthought. Hardest boss is Gambit, Creed and Deadpool are ridiculously easy

Uncharted 2 looks amazing, loved the first game, and looks like theyve improved on it with what they show in this preview...
