You can roll everything from your first game into the second, including the awards at the end of the game - so you can play through impossible and max everything out or whatever. The game is much better the harder it is IMO.

There is also weapons/armor to download and try out from XBL if you're on Xbox.

how do I do that? I saved after finishing the first game. When I load that savegame, it starts the first mission, but I don't get to chose the difficulty. Do I just start a new game on impossible? I'm asking, because I don't want to mess up my savegames etc.

2 free Watchmen tickets if you buy any Xbox Live product or console at Bestbuy.

You can get the 1600 pt card for $19.99, and full price tickets are like $8-10 each? So a good deal if you are going to see the movie anyways.

what difficulty am I allowed to play fallout 3 on without being a douche? I started on "Very hard" (the highest) and I have the feeling that the game will give me a lot of trouble (damn dogs almost kill me every time . I can't sneak along anywhere.) Keep in mind that I'm a total fallout-noob and have probably misconfigured my character grossly.

LOL at being a douche in single player games.

I always play everything on normal to start and then make it harder if the game is worth playing more than once.

I've never played F3, but in F1 and F2, the way you configure your character really does make a big difference in this game. If that's true with F3, you might want to roll another character if this one isn't fun or doesn't work for you.

I'm a complete douchebag and usually play FPSs on Easy. Fallout and other RPGs I would imagine I'd go Normal, but who knows. I asked this same question about Baldur's Gate on a message board like 9 years ago (might need a Google account to read it):

Genz - I don't remember offhand exactly how to do it in Dead Space, probably in the manual or a quick google though. It is possible because I did it on my impossible playthrough.

Also I don't think there is any shame in playing any Bethesda game on any difficulty as their settings are so poorly done it can really detract from the game. That being said I played it on normal and it was absurdly easy past level 4-5.

I started a new game of Dead Space on impossible. I had to load the savegame of my first try on easy. Only then I could quit and choose "impossible". It then completely restarted. I.e. when I save, it says "Round 1". I don't mind too much. It is doable, imo. But it is difficult. The fact that you only find ammo of weapons that you have equipped, helps a lot, because if you choose only one or two weapons that are effective, you don't really run out of ammo. At the moment, everything else than the plasma gun is pretty worthless, though. the line beam (which I usually like) is pretty useless. You can cut off legs with it, but that's it. Usually, I'd take it to kill these little things that shoot out of their three tentacles with one shot, because you can hit them all at once, but without upgrades on impossible, that thing doesn't cut ****. It's vitally important to figure out the trigger points for monsters in a lot of situations so that they can't surprise you.

F3: I saw that I can turn down the difficulty without restarting the game. I will do that the next time I play it.

I actually went through impossible using only the Heavy Damage Plasma Cutter (160pts I think) from the marketplace for the One Gun achievement, also used the marketplace armor that was covered in Unitarian script (also 160 I think). Those helped quite a bit.

Getting your rig upgraded for statis/health and one gun maxed out will make things much easier also. The only problem I had after that was literally when like 8 things came at once or fighting a the occasional brute.

So I got a new TV (Pioneer PDP-508XD) to go with my new Xbox360, and it seems as though I don't have any sound. I was already planning on buying some kind of surround set + receiver but a TV not generating any sound out of the box is really strange to me. There aren't any visible speakers, just the TV (speakers are optional I think, though they didn't tell me that at the store), but is it normal, or even possible for a TV not to have any sound?

There is sound when I plug something in to the headphones output.

Oh **** my life.

The last 3 times I've used my 360 it has completely frozen each time.

This time I had my first ever hat trick in NHL 09 with my Playmaker Center and only had 5 minutes left in the game.

I hope this isn't a precursor to RROD because last time I got it my system froze just like this about 5 times in a row.

This is going to sound silly, but -- mute button?

lol blarg you really have it out for DRM don't you, do you just not play any game that requires DRM? iirc that warhammer game is available on steam which really isn't that bad, its probably the best option out of all the digital distribution services

Yeah I don't play anything with DRM. DOW2 has more than just steam stuff going on. This is a shame because I loved the first DOW. I'm on a new computer now though and I want to keep it clean.

Just built a custom PC and it's own the way (Core 2 Duo 8400, ATI 4870, 4 gigs ram, etc.)

I'm a huge fan of COD4 and right now I have Crysis and Crysis Warhead on the way. Any other PC only shooters or related games that I've missed in recent years that I should get?

I'm moving end of May and buying new stuff (current apt. furnished with TV so I never bought my own). I don't really play video games all that much, but I definitely need a system (rocking PS2 right now) and I'm going to have a lot of free time between graduating/bar exam and job to play more games, plus I watch tons of movies and would like a blu ray. Want something clean and simple, but still decent. Couch will be approx. 8-10 feet from the TV.

Thoughts on this combo:

52 inch Sony Bravia

Sony Soundbar
