I'd note again that Wii's attach rate is (IIRC) the lowest among the 3 consoles out right now and I don't think it's close, which means that a lot of people are probably buying Wiis (and Wii Sports) and not bothering to buy anything else beyond that, which would suggest that you're probably right -- at least as far as some Wii purchasers go.

This depended on whether you got the bundle with the light gun or not.

There was also a bundle that included the Power Pad and the pack in cartridge had SMB/Duck Hunt/World Class Track Meet.

Whoops, overlooked that section. Thanks! Didn't know about the Sports Set bundle. IIRC Super Spike V'Ball was a decent game, can't remember if I liked it more or less than Kings of the Beach.

I think I agree with "it might have came with the system, but wii sports was selling the wii not the other way around." Did anyone have the free 4-system Wii Sports kiosks in a local mall? The one I saw seemed very popular.

Lets face it though if there was some other game there instead of Wii sports that was even half decent I don't think there would be any difference in console sales or success of the system.

It's a pretty compelling argument, I'd love to see more cross platform stuff. There really is no reason to be locked into one platform these days, mostly it's old tech and people unwilling to commit to learning new stuff, and of course management deciding that the time "lost" to cross platform development is not worth the cost.

I recently bought a wireless XBox PC receiver so I could use my xbox controller on the computer to play poker. Problem is- my Xbox is only one room away so it is still receiving the signal. I can easily unplug the unit from the PC to keep the controller from doing stuff to my computer when I am playing the XBox, but is there an easy fix to make it so I can use the controller on my PC without it turning on the XBox console??
