I always felt critics went easy on Uncharted because PS3's hyped "must have" titles were coming up waaay short and they just felt they needed something and Uncharted could at least pass so they gave it a lot of leiniency.

Not to say it's a bad game, but it just plays like a second or third rate title with crazy production values.

Initial impression is that the voice command system is ****ing rad. It understands everything I say perfectly and it's intuitive and fast and is way, way better than the standard pointing and clicking in all other RTS games.

Story seems cool, though you only get a glimpse of it from the one super-simple (might as well be a tutorial) campaign mission.

EDIT: Played a skirmish, sometimes it's tough to tell which of your units are where without cycling through them and looking on the mini-map to see where each one pops up, and while there are a bunch of pre-defined command points on the battlefield which are easy to issue orders around (since you just say "whiskey/zulu/whatever"), it's harder to position your units in specific places between those command points b/c the camera is focused on those specific units. Both of these could just be me not knowing how to play the game though. Seems pretty fun even though I'm terrible at RTS games.

I haven't read much about the game but the "persistent online theater of war" sounds like a REALLY cool idea. Someone start a thread for this game, I'm too lazy to. It comes out early Nov I think so it's close enough to release time.

In Battlefield 1942 someone setup a website for the fight for Europe/Africa. Big strategic map and you would fight battles in game for certain cities/battlefields. It was great because you could have huge servers, and when the battle was over it actually meant something. It worked out surprisingly well and was a blast to play.

Endwar seems like it has a lot of potential. All in all the one campaign mission and the skirmish I played were too easy. But they were still fun. I think that if this game can tell a compelling story and give you some more specific objectives(less eliminate all hostile forces) this could be one hell of a game. As is I'll be buying when it comes out.

Just got a £250 ($430) amazon voucher from stars VIP store. Am needing to buy some xbox360 games. I have preordered Dead Space obv since it looks ****ing mint.

Apart from that thought I dunno. I still haven't decided between FIFA and pro Evo but don't comment on that I am the only one who can judge that for me (I guarantee i have played more soccer games for more total hours than anyone else on this forum) and will rent them first to decide.

So what games should I get? I am thinking of the new Soul Calibur, The Darkness (its on offer for £16 or something ridic on amazon) , the new Tiger Woods game etc.

Any first person shooter, action or sports game that is awesome will tickle my fancy. RPG's not so much. Recommendations?
