Because we're rebooting everything from the 90s the Mechwarrior series is getting another sequel after 15 years in the wilderness. Mechwarrior 2 was incredible for its time, but both Titanfall's being commercial failures makes me doubtful there's a big market for giant robot ****.

Arguable how much Titanfall 2's commercial failure is due to being a big robot game. It was released in-between the new Call of Duty and Battlefield 1, which doesn't seem like a very good idea.

The bundles that add games have a "More Coming Soon" icon in the beat the average section from the time they go on sale until the extra games are added.

The idea isn't as bad as that article makes it out to be. There's plenty of sites like that in a bunch of other industries, including poker obv. Rami advertised his skype and took calls from randoms live on twitch for free. He did it a few times, had 100's of viewers and I never saw him get trolled which is saying something for someone as polarizing as him, they were great streams. If he can do that on a platform like twitch for free then I'm pretty sure devs could join a paid service without much fear of harassment. The problem with that site is that none of those people sound any more interesting to people I can meet at IGDA's and other meet ups and those prices are obv pretty bad. I honestly doubt I'd ever consider using a service like that though.

After reading through the What should I get my kids for X-mas (for gaming) ? thread it struck me what a great and welcoming community this forum is. You guys really went the extra mile helping OP.

lol cube world... damn. I paid money for that.

I randomly remembered cube world a month or two back and googled it to find out if it was still dead. I would've bought it years ago, but didn't find out about it until after he'd stopped selling it.

Found the makers twitter where he's still tweeting about adding music and stuff to the game and thought it was pretty absurd to suddenly pop up with a tweet about new music given the history of the game. I even dug out the old Cube World thread here to post about it.
