After those experiences, you too might let the fatigue set in and just enjoy having a warranty, having someone else be in charge of making your **** work.
One of the reasons why I am so pro-self-building is that the last PC I bought built by a store I had to return 3 times and it still never worked correctly.
And, rather than being able to just return a faulty part, I had to drag the whole damn thing to and from the post office all those times and this was a big tower thing weighing over 20kg.
They kept returning it with the exact same problem as I sent it in for (the usb-ports in front caused a short circuit when used) - after the third time I just gave up and never used those ports and covered them so they would never be touched.
So yes, if you were guaranteed that the guys building it were more competent at finding and fixing problems than yourself, then I would agree. But they're usually not
