theres a server that usually has ~40 people playing at night time running katabatic 24/7 but there are usually mods to switch the maps around. it runs a different version v2 its quicker paced than classic. give it a shot we all kinda know each other on that server since not many people play. its cal

*%#$'ers broke into my house while I and my 3 kids were sleeping and stole my Wii and all my games (12) including Wii Fit and GH3 but they left the Wii fit board and the guitar. They also took the zapper gun for crossbow training but left the wii wheel for Kart ( they were right next to each other ) WTF??? Nothing else was even touched in the house including a gameboy that was laying on the floor next to the games.

Trip report from jail to follow if I find out who stole it. I already called the cops and they were worse than worthless. They weren't even going to file a report except I had the serial number. They didn't even care to hear my list of suspects nor why I suspected them.

Probably a better question for comp tech help but the Wii is setup for a static ip on my secured wireless network. What's the easiest way for me to see if the Wii is accessing my network?

Not sure if it matters much, if someone in the neighborhood stole it and is going to use it rather than pawning it, I'll find out soon. If they are pawning it, then I hope they are going to use craiglist because there are way too many pawn shops in Vegas for me to check

Also I just remembered that my email is registered with the wii so I can send emails to my wii. Haven't figured out how I could best take advantage of that though. My luck and the idiots who took it (or are going to buy it) will
never put it online.

Connect to your router (probably by entering 192.168.1.1 in a browser window), login and then it depends on your exact router but you can usually find a list of all connected wireless clients in the wireless security section.

Is there a way I can complain to EA about how much their drumkits suck? The first one I got with Rockband just stopped working on its own - I think there was something wrong with the wiring. I bought another one and didn't even bother returning the first, because the warranty had expired. Now my second one just broke (the pedal cracked at the hinge) and I have to wait who-knows-how-long until I can play again for them to ship me a new drum kit.

Anyone else interested in Soul Calibur 4? Comes out next week. Soul Calibur has always been one of my favorite fighters...the weapons add a lot of variation beyond kick & punch fighters.

I'm really surprised fighting games aren't all that big these days, since the games are naturally an awesome fit for online play. I guess with SC4 and the new Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat games, we may see a bit of a resurgance.

Yes. I always preferred Tekken but Soul Calibur was pretty awesome too.

I have some great memories of playing Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast, that was an outstanding version. I'm certainly going to keep my eye out for 4, online battles are very appealing.

I don't really want to go looking for the thread on MLB 2k8 so I'll post in here and hopefully still get the answer.

I've had MLB 2k8 for awhile now, probably since right after it came out. Lately I've started playing it more, franchise mode, and it keeps ending the game prematurely. Last week, 3 times, it ended on me after the first inning, like a glitch. And then just today I was in like the 7th inning and it decided to end the game right there.

Anybody have these problems and is there anything I can do to get my money back (no receipt) or something?

I don't like long games that take XXX hours to complete. That means I do not enjoy games like Mario 64, meaning Galaxy is out, nor do I enjoy RPGs. Which Wii games should I get?

I only have Wii Sports and SSBB right now. I'm considering Wii Play, Mario Party 8, Guitar Hero III, Mario Kart, Big Beach Sports and maybe Wii Fit. I only want to get like 3 more games for the time being.

I would say to for sure pick up Mario Kart and GHIII, those are the two best avaliable games for the Wii imo. If you need another remote, then Wii Play is probably worth the extra 10 bucks, but it is close. Given your criteria I would suggest Mario Strikers Charged as well.

Mario Party 8 is complete garbage imo, but some people seem to enjoy it...

I have not played Wii Fit, and I haven't even heard of Big Beach Sports, so no comments there.

I just finished playing through HL2 for the first time over the last few days. What a crappy ending. There was a lot of awesome scenes getting there and all throughout, but wow that ending was lame. I hear it gets better if you play Episodes 1 and 2, but I doubt I will.

QFMFT god the last levels in that game were just ****ing terrible

I basically liked it until you leave the museum thing. Also, was there anything in this game not borrowed from other games/movies/etc.

The antlions reminded me of Pitch Black. The War of the Worlds tripods. Even the creepiest monsters (the screeching fast 4 legged things) were from something I can't seem to place. It didn't take away from the game for me, but it was weird.

Anyway, game was good up until the end. Annnd it dragged in a couple parts, but not too bad.

HL2 is basically the greatest FPS of all time. Haters.

I haven't played too many FPS too be honest. HL2 was better than HL imo. I can say that much. Maybe that's consensus though; I don't know.

I'm probably going to be starting Deus Ex. I've had it for a couple years and never played it. I did the tutorial, but didn't start the game yet. Am I in for a treat? Hopefully it's good enough to fire up when I get bored at school (if I don't play/finish it in the next two weeks).

Deus Ex is the sickest thing ever.

I got the 360 play and charge kit about 8 months ago. Today, the controller was dead, so I plugged it in. It goes to red for about 10 seconds then goes to green. I played for a couple hours with it plugged in, and when I unplug it, the controller dies instantly. So it's not getting charged at all.

Has anyone had this problem? Do I have to buy a new kit, or is it possible to just buy a new battery? I'm guessing it is the battery, since it does work while plugged in.

definitely sounds like the battery in your play and charge kit has died.
