Yes, bought one a couple months ago for PS4 exclusively - remote play is unbelievably good, and mandatory PS+ for PS4 online means a steady stream of free vita games too. I also jumped off the fence because old OLED model becoming rare - If I was going to get one, I wanted that before it's impossible to obtain brand new. Argument could be mad for the new model too however, it is thinner, lighter and buttons are (even) better.

It's superb, recommend 5*. Remote play is amazing - plays perfect on most titles while not taking up the TV screen, just can't put in to words how great it is to be able to play while watching a TV show or while girl is watching some crap I couldn't care less about etc. Most everything looks inredible scaled down to quarterHD OLED.

What really surprised me was the quality of the actual vita games. I've put in a ton of hours on Wipeout 2048, I'm a sucker for Wipeout. but also TxK, Hotline Miami, Virtua Tennis 4, Gravity Rush, Motorstrm RC - all these I have playeyd much more than I thought I would -and I still ahve a t least as many I have yet to try waiting to download free from PS+. PSN sales often are great value on Vita too.

For certain games the instant standby/resume is excellent. Cannot wait for that (promised launch feature) to arrive onS4. At any point it can be shutdown in 1 second, and can restart in also 1 second right where you left off mid game. PS4 standby is nothing to this.

PS4 remote from anywhere in the house is the killer feature for me though. I'd have bought it for £100 if that was the only thing it did (was £160 when I did). additional bous it works from anywhere else you can get wifi too (but for some games the latency across the Internet would be too much I feel)

Oh and it works as a (not quite so good) 2nd controller too. So I basically considered that a £45 discount lol. (dualshock4 be expensive here!)

Will prob pick up Persona 4G in the current sale, can't say it grabs my attention though I don't understand I'd only be buying it because of the many glowing praise I've read online. I expect to not "get it", but for £12 lol why not I suppose.

I recently bought a DS, and is it just me or the nintendo website absolutely awful? I can only buy money in increments and if I want to change from my Chinese card to my American card later I lose all the money I have in my account? Seriously?

Also wtf at the instructions on how to put money on... go to home, click this then click this and then this.... are they aware what links are?

Nintendo has been on downhill for last 5 years or so. Unlike Sony, they haven't really adapted to changing gaming climate.

I have 3DS, the online payment thing is pretty awful. Best thing is, if you change device, you lose the purchases :P

I had to look this up to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding you. Who the hell would buy these things? If your 3DS bricks you're just out an entire library of games?

Well, you probably could try begging customer service. I myself actually have bought one game digitally since it was only released digitally.

Wow that is absolutely awful!

Unfortunately the only games I can buy in person here would be in Chinese, so I'd need to get it shipped in which would be a pain.

Worth remembering 3DS is also region-locked

You can get your games on a new console if one gets bricked but the only way to do it is to send both consoles to Nintendo. I never buy Nintendo games digitally.

Yeah, it's pretty awful.

It does seem like Nintendo is at least starting to think about catching up WRT their online functionality and gameplay and whatnot, so that's good...but only time will tell if their online support ever gets to a semi-respectable state

Just do it. If you don't like it, you can probably flip it for some loss at ebay. Or buy it used from ebay in first place.

If Isaac Rebirth, Hotline Miami 1/2 and Spelunky were the only games on the Vita then it would still be worth the price of admission.

If anyone is interested in Strife, the new MOBA from S2 (Heroes of Newerth), check out this thread: http://www.reddit.com/r/ShareStrife/...bam_many_keys/ for a beta key.

I just randomly tried one and got in. You have to go to strife.com and click Create Account where it will ask you for your beta key when you create the account so you don't have to make one unless the key works.

I'm about 12 hours into Ni No Kuni (I thought the first couple hours were kind of insufferable, but after that it settles into a Kingdom Hearts kind of experience, and they borrowed quite a few things from FF). The boss battles have been weird endurance tests for me, my supporting characters use up all their MP and die before the bosses reach 60% health (sometimes 75-80%), then I run around with Oliver and defend to get back MP/wait for gold orbs, and eventually I win because the bosses can't do enough damage to overcome the mana I recover from defending. Is there something I'm missing that would allow my supporting guys to be productive without zapping all of their mana, and staying alive? Maybe I'm underleveled or not making armor/getting good familiars? Changing tactics is stopping them from using mana, but also reducing their productivity to basically 0.

Also, man PSPlus. ridiculous deals both a blessing and a curse. How are those Tales of Xilia/Symphonia games? And DMC 2/3/4 for under 10 bucks? And is Metal Gear Rising a semi must play for MGS fans? I know it's not hideo.

Haven't played Xillia/Symphonia but I've played Tales of Vesperia and it was very good, probably my 2nd favorite jrpg of the last generation.

if you've got a Wii U NES remix is a very very good way to spend 10-20 hours with your friends playing snippets of decent (and some ****ty - holy **** pinball and golf and baseball for NES were terrible) games

I'm not Daer, but my 1st is Golden Sun 1 & 2. Can't really sing enough praises for the games:

-no need to grind a ton of levels, basically if you fight the random battles you encounter as you go you'll be fine

-clever use of "magic", you need it for out of combat puzzles as well

-Djinns, you collect them and they unlock different classes for your characters.

Meh, I'm bad at marketing the game to you, but just watch some game play videos or read some reviews. It is 91/100 on Metacritic.
