kind of surprised that not many people know about this game yet. it looks absolutely stunning and original gameplay.

This is a little bigger scale than i've been working on (don't own my own place yet) ......
but, when one of the DS castlevania games came out they had a little figure with a whip as a pre-release gift.....
I ended up with a bunch of them and had a scene on the wall with them....

Nice graphics, but original gameplay? I don't see that at all, and EA is involved - which pretty much assures no original gameplay.

EA is usually a **** sandwich but the game is actually being developed by DICE, the guys who made the battlefield series which is pretty solid. Its also going to be cross platform for 360, pc, and ps3. I think the gameplay is definitely a departure from the standard fps fare. Theres not really many first person games that dont involve murdering countless numbers of people.

The wiki page gave a bit more context to that trailer. I'm still not entirely seeing how it's beyond a first person prince of persia, but I'm also probably overly cynical towards any game that promises revolution.

This reported dashboard update for XBOX 360 sounds pretty cool with the whole copying of games onto the HDD thing.. my question is how much space would a typical one-disc game take up? I only have the 20GB's. I guess I could always install/delete games as I play them, but that would be annoying/time consuming..

Also, this new "Jasper" 60GB SKU, do you really think it will be cooler/quieter as some reports indicate?. I thought most of the noise came from the disc drive, not the CPU/GPU or whatever, so would a new GPU/CPU really make it quieter? The only thing I could see is the fans wouldn't have to go on as much if it's cooler, but I think the disc spinning makes up the majority of the complaints

most 360 game rips are around 7.5 GB. i would seriously buy a 120GB hard drive if the games can be played straight from the hdd - no ****ing with discs or MOTHER****ING LOUD AS **** DISC SPINNING

also i am so excited about the 'game show' channel for xbl that i could piss myself

omg this would by far be the sickest development of this generation, changing discs is such a pain in the mother****ing ass

from what i just read, you'd still need to have the disc in the drive as "proof that you own it", so changing discs would still be required. oh well, free update + being able to play a game without having to hear a jet engine is still cool with me. i'm a noise nazi

Just dusted off Mutant League Football for the Genesis.

They so need to remake this on the current gen.

In typical trailer fashion it didn't reveal much about the game (except that you can use Locust's as human shields but most of us already knew that), but obviously I'm going to buy it asap when it comes out. Should be awesome.

One of the biggest things I saw from E3 was the Resident Evil 4 trailer oddly enough. That game wasn't really on my radar but now I can't wait. The co-op play just looks like so much fun.

I do like this game a good amount. Good balance, the different classes are unique and none are overpowered. Pretty good roles too.

Too bad most of the players blow, so it sucks getting stuck on a bad team.

pretty underwhelmed by nintendo's e3 presentation, though it did inspire me to play some wii sports bowling

New 360 dashboard will have Miis. Whoops, I mean avatars. Lots of other changes too, to make it more friendly for casual gamers.

lol. Not that this is a bad thing, but it does seem to be rather a total rip off.

Yeah, I'm not too fond of the 3d avatar route. And I'll be pretty pissed if they try to charge for outfits. But outside of that, I really liked the ability to instantly bring your party into a certain game. And I'm really curious to see what they were talking about with regards to the ability to share movies.

Also, I'm curious about how much these companies know about one another's plans. I can't imagine the FFXIII was news to Sony. But at the same time, their conference repeatedly emphasized the value and relevance of exclusives, when 24 hours earlier they lost their most anticipated exclusive. Kind of an odd strategy. Although the blu-ray announcement obviously caught hd-dvd with their pants down at the CES show, so maybe these things really are kept secret.

Also, no wonder M$ unleashed the HD-DVD, they wanted Sony to spend billions on Blu-Ray, all the while they were planning on joining Netflix to stream movies. Awesome.

This makes no sense really at all. Netflix is rental, and Blu-ray is a medium, which is the next standard for all physical media including movies and computers. This deal is more of a blow to the already in place rental possibilities available tonight on the PS3.
