VVVVVV

Just found out about this game, VVVVVV.
The core gameplay is very simple but that's also what makes it so fun.
You flip the dude by pressing V (ldo) to navigate through stages with a little help from gravity.

You can play a flash demo here:

Watch someone else play it here:

Buy it here: http://thelettervsixtim.es/

Really liked this, but couldn't justify paying for it in any way, let alone the $15 asking price.

Re: VVVVVV

Got this game on the cheap a few months ago. Finally got around to making my way through it. So much fun! The room with the trinket and monitor that says something about "Nobody will ever reach this one" was crazyballs.

Anyone else care to share their stats?

Re: VVVVVV

Finished my first play-through a couple weeks ago after getting it as part of the latest Humble Bundle...super fun game. Been meaning to go after the last few trinkets, but been busy with all of the other Humble Bundle and Steam holiday sales games I have.

Trinkets: 17
Game Time: 1:51
Deaths: 617

Not sure where to find those other stats besides the game completion screen, but most deaths was certainly one of the "Nobody will ever reach this one" screens.

It gets way easier with practice. After ~3 playthroughs I got to the point where I could finish the game with about ~50 deaths, neglecting basically all of the trinkets. Going back afterwards to pick up the trinkets probably adds about another 50 deaths, with Veni Vidi Vici, Edge Games and Prize for the Reckless being the bulk of those. EDIT: The first time through I think I actually had the most deaths in Do as I Say, Not As I Do - the Veni Vidi Vici ones were distributed fairly broadly across all of the rooms, although if you added them all up that spot was definitely the winner.

Where I still suck quite badly is at Super Gravitron. I think my best is about 21 seconds.
