I'm enjoying the game a lot more than I thought I would but I'm really disappointed with the game's performance. Really significant framedrops whenever things get chaotic (which is often), otherwise still pretty choppy throughout most matches. Screen tearing I care less about but that persists frequently as well.

This is concerning, especially considering that this is not a visually demanding game at all. It's a somewhat outdated engine with pretty underwhelming textures. It's bad enough that like other Xb1 games it couldn't hit 1080p, but now we can't even get the game to run smoothly? Really starting to regret my decision to go with the Xbox when it's premier exclusive can't even function properly.

Anyways, let's get a 2p2 squad together and start pwning faces.

Yeah so the game is a ton of fun for like 45 minutes at a time. Wish I could've rented it because I think that's all the time one really needs to appreciate that it's cool and move along with NO REGRETS.

Still, I'll play it some when I'm bored.

EDIT: The "story" is arguably the WOAT though.

Lots of little problems. Death rate of pilot trainees apparently 98% in training - okay bros. Star cruiser crash landing on a planet, which is described as a "fishing village." It's a planet, it can't also be a village. One planet has native wildlife that is approximately 2000 feet long. Another planet rumored to have wildlife that we never see but can ruin an entire armed civilization (how'd they ever build it before the tower thing was done?). You lose a mission and you still get the fuel you need. "Main" characters are two bros from way back who trained together, then fight each other, then because one dies in a nuclear reactor the other switches sides (he's so EMOTIONAL, you see) and kills all his former bros.

So dumb.

I mean games like this are obviously more about gameplay and not at all about story or campaign. I'm still amazed people go and pick up the call of duty or Halo titles and are like "oh man I can't wait to play the campaign!" Are you kidding? The real fun is multiplayer with your friends.

Obviously the story in this game sucks compared to the aforementioned ones, but who really cares? I didn't even know there was going to be a campaign mode before I bought it, and wasn't disappointed with how ******ed it is in the slightest. I actually found some of the opening scenes pretty badass, such as when the spectre flies in from no where and jump kicks that pilot laying on the ground. After all, that's what Titanfall is all about, feeling like a badass.

I agree though it's not a game where I can play 24/7, but fun when you have 30-60 minutes to kill.

Yeah, my impressions since the beta haven't changed much. I played with some coworkers last night (to be fair, only maybe half of them are any good) mostly doing domination and CTF. It's too difficult to coordinate things as a team - there might be a chance, if not for titans ****ing up all of your plans. They're basically game-breaking in CTF (once the flag carrier gets in a titan, LOLOL) and in domination there are often hardpoints accessible to titans that you really just cannot defend without one of your own.

So, if the team modes suck, that basically leaves...team deathmatch, where team strategy is just nonexistent in a game that moves this fast. You'd better hope your teammates are good if you want to win.

I just want to play MW2 again.
