Given the
ridiculous way these devs were treated by Activision after Modern Warfare 2, I hope this game keeps enough momentum to be a significant success. I felt burned pretty bad by what I think was a half-baked idea at full price in Titanfall 1, so I'm just gonna wait for a Spring sale and see if people are still playing it.
If what they accomplished with the second game was done for the first, it would have immediately been a Battlefield/CoD level franchise. Instead, you get a 6 million unit first week "failure" for a game that must have cost a fortune more. Releasing the same time as Battlefield 1 and the new CoD certainly didn't help, but thankfully EA seems to be
in it for the long haul.
