speaking of MVP baseball someone told me that the 2k exclusive **** runs out after this year and EA can start making them again, have not confirmed it but that is good news imo. MVP 05 4life

yaya wiki agrees with him http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MVP_Bas...ssible_revival

mvp 05 on xbox is still miles ahead of anything 2k has put out. will be first in line if there is an mvp 2014.

You have no idea what you're talking about. My mother used to work for the post office. She worked for them for 15 or 20 years and became disabled due to her work. Her hands are nearly crippled, back problems, neck problems, etc. She was moved to light duty because of her condition, and her supervisors harassed her constantly. She worked in the post office in Edmond Oklahoma where Patrick Sherrill "went postal" and killed a bunch of people in the 80s. One time, as harassment, her supervisor moved her to an area of the post office where Sherrill killed some people. It was an area where he had strategic visibility of all the doorways, and you can still see bullet holes in the concrete walls.

Do you mean anything 2k has brought out baseball-wise or any sport in general?

NBA 2K12 and Topspin4 are both awesome games!

I broke out TW12 to play Augusta, and not only does the game still work great, I even still have the 200 courses I bought for it (or so it seems, I bought em all and there's a lot).

And Augusta was still Augusta in all its glory. Only thing I didn't have was the "cool" swing arc visual. No biggie there.

EA u lose. Not payin u again for the same dam game.

NBA 2K12 is pretty much the best sports game you can buy.

I'm sorry that your mother had a horrible experience but this anecdotal evidence means nothing. There are far worse companies and most postal wokers I talk to are very happy with their jobs. It's sort of revealing that your mother worked at the same place the one guy "went postal" in that it isn't a post office problem, but a branch management problem.

Really enjoying this game atm, got it the day after release and its been great. I think the reason im enjoying this maybe more than some of you guys is that i havent played a TWxx game for atleast 5 years so to me theres been a big step up in the quality.
Obviously find the DLC content sucks after paying £40~ for a game, but im happy with the courses pre loaded and ill just wait to save up coins and master the courses rather than fork out another £x0 amount of money to play on more courses!

its extremely easy to master the course in 6 rounds, and i expect there to be more 6 for 3 specials like they did for waialei so you are looking at 12K coins per course. just do a regular four round tournament then one from the red tees to get enough eagles.

seriously, that spreadsheet should find a way to a bigger audience than just 2p2.

It really backs up the sentiment that DLC has evoluted from a simple add-on to a complete game to essentially being bits and pieces of the game itself sold in a way that the consumer gets milked for as much as he can.

Spread the sheet i say!

So, the other day, I paid a $15 premium to buy this:

specifically because of the banner on the top left of the box. "20 additional championship courses included".

I didn't want to screw around unlocking courses, and assumed that they came unlocked in this version. From what I can tell, this box is blatant false advertising, and it came with about 5 extra courses. If I'd known this before I spent the $70 on it, I'd have left it in the store. Pretty scummy imo.

That said, I'm quite enjoying the gameplay. I haven't played a console golf game since sega golf in about 1993 or so. Been playing exclusively on career mode, and the difficulty and learning curve seem to be spot on, with the exception of driving being a little too easy off the tee. Was quite disappointed when I had to skip some courses because they were dlc, but I'll get over it.

Cliffs: Like the game, dislike the company. Likely will stay away from EA products that use the same shady marketing practices in the future.

I'll try to join the 2p2 clubhouse for ps3.

so does anyone still grind tiger 13? Got it about a Month ago and can't put it down. Anyone wanna play a few rounds online possibly? It'll st least give me a reason to get my xbl renewed, haha.

Oh, I mainly searched this thread to brag that I just shot a legit (no restarting after bad holes, etc) 59 at royal Melbourne in. career mode. Feels damn good.

Yeah, although they weren't killed by EA, so I can't blame them.

They actually got bought out by Sony in 1993. Most of the games by them that I remember fondly are prior to that buyout.

Slightly off topic, but I felt for a long time like pre-1995 or so was a golden age for game design. It was an era when two guys in a basement, with enough Mountain Dew and disdain for having girlfriends, could make an awesome game on their own. Once the console market blew up and every game had massive budgets, it kind of killed that, and it made me sad.

All that said, the rise of easy digital distribution has given a platform for "two guys and some mountain dew" type studios to be profitable again, so (imo) we're now in the middle of a gaming renaissance of sorts, and I quite enjoy it.
