So while the forums were down BLOPS 2 was announced and it's set... in the future. Will it be great or a ******ed jumping of the shark by the franchise? One thing is for certain, everyone will still be buying it and I'm pretty excited for it. I was a huge fan of Black Ops and I'm actually ok with Treyarch in general in the past so I'm excited to see if they can make this good.

Will it even launch on November 13th?

As if the Activision/IW mess needed another plot line, there's an MOU out there saying IW has the right to "all post-Vietnam eras" of the franchise. More legal trouble on the way.

I think this game looks terrible. I won't be buying it, and it looks very sellout-ish.

I heard Treyarch is gonna launch "Black Ops Platinum". What it does is, for $49.99, it gives you all the downloadable maps and then takes a s*** on your xbox.

Will wait until Multiplayer footage before passing judgement.

Seems a strange trailer... Horses? In Call of Duty set in 2025? Hmmmmm

But each new COD Thread must be graced with

I think it's funny because my brother and I always joked that they were going to have to much some COD: Future Warfare at some point but we were always just trolling, or so I thought.

I would have been ok with them activision/trey releasing a future warfare game using their engine and seeing if it had a similar feel, but to take a historical warfare franchise and thrust it into the future is a huge leap.

Preordered. Expect a perk/class/whatever where you are camouflaged as a friendly to the enemy team until you attack or are shot.

Looks the same as all the others. The gameplay is probably even dumbed down more than the last one (if that's even possible). Just a $60 map pack. I wonder how many more years the CoD franchise can suck money out of the casual gaming community. It is quite an impressive feat.

Halo 4 is going to be the better game obviously.

Also I have played every CoD before, but I've only purchased BO and MW3.

I hope this is good, despite looking good mw3 plays like crap for me with (anti) lag, maybe that's been fixed and I should try again. that and lmgs being nerfed made me sad. blops played good, and I like future warfare a lot. will certainly buy on launch.

Will be buying this but by **** I won't be buying Elite (or similar) until I see if I'm going to get raped with connection lag like I do in MW3.

I have 50mb broadband (soon to be 100mb) so I get host every time and sometimes it's unplayable for me.

If I hadn't paid for Elite on launch day then I would have traded MW3 in and would be playing BF3 this now instead.

What does one have to do with the other? Does Elite enhance the MW3 experience in some way I'm not familiar with?

You basically pay for all the download content in advance.

If I trade it in now paying for Elite would be a waste of money as there is still another 9 months worth of content to come that I have paid for.

Lol at everyone hating on Treyarch for finally having the balls to not rest on their laurels. I was expecting another standard CoD clone but at least theyve trying to mix it up a bit.

More of the same? Well its FPS so yeah but apart from that, its set in the near future, that makes it different to every other cod game ever no? Theyre also doing levels which dont follow the standard corridor shooter format. You can actually fail in winning a battle and the story carries on so you have different outcomes. You can also go from flying a jet(not on rails) to jumping down to infantry to jumping into a tank all while the battle is going on and all by your own choice. This is a departure from the norm.

I personally gave up on MW3 after about a week because i'd finally got fed up of the franchise but i might actually get this because they have actually decided to try and make sonething a bit different from the previous games.

Part of the game is set in the 80's in afghanistan, hence the horses.

I was curious where the horses came into play. I wish the whole thing was set in the gulf war or middle eastern wars fwiw because I don't want them to **** up by trying to make **** so futuristic that it is unrealistic but I agree with you on most of your points.
