If you're talking about the putt preview, just don't use it. If you mean getting rid of that annoying circle that they show you on the green before you putt then no, you can't get rid of that on any level that has power-ups or in flight spin, and its pretty annoying.
What I used to do, before I started playing on tournament difficulty (which is the only way to play imo) was just look away from the screen before they switched me to the view of the putt, then hit "x" or whatever the button on XBOX is that you press to hit a shot and then aim from that view, there wont be a circle on it.
Cheers for reply , Majorly dissapointed cant get rid of circle thing :/
Would be nice to read the greens myself.
Sometimes my caddy shows the circle of being majorly short of the hole despite the lines showing its an uphill putt. Is this a case of my caddy being inexperienced?
That just means the greens are fast, or tournament speed. Always check the speed of the greens before putting (pause and go to 'caddy book' to check it), it makes a HUGE difference.
If you need to stay on "pro" mode or whatever level you use just look away from the screen before the circle comes up and hit the button that takes you to the view of behind your guy when you're about to hit the putt and aim from there.
Using the circle or putt preview totally ruins the game imo. Reading the greens and judging the speed yourself is so much more fun than aiming at a damn circle that is often off by a lot anyway.
Didnt realise caddy had the book, thanks! Will check it out.
My thoughts exactly, Im just ignoring the circle and its far more rewarding doing it myself. -1 through 24 holes in my first tournament (Played 1st 18 on tour pro) and enjoying it. Just want the game to be realistic and challenging.
Played a guy online stroke play 18 holes, I holed out two eagles from like 160 yards twice, and birdied like 5 holes.. 1 bogey.
Lost by 3 shots, he probably 2 putted like once in 18 holes and his approach play was awful, So boring and unreal.
Augusta has faster greens than any other course in the game, across all speeds. On the tournament speeds you literally have to aim 50% of the distance of the putt on flat putts. On most other courses you should be hitting it about 2/3 even on tournament speed.
