That would be a strange looking ad for Cyberpunk.

I loved cats eye in 2 when you can see the veins etc of monsters underground, its one of those moments in gaming that show you how lazy and derivative most games are and what can be achieved with a bit of original creativity and how much larger the scope is in gaming than is usually expressed by most main stream games.

I found the story in 2 was a bit WTF in act 2 where you had all this dramatic tension and build up in A1 and then it just seemed to go on a completely arbitrary tangent in A2.

Start playing, look at the clock and it's 4.5 hours later. Basically done nothing, just managed to barely hit level 2. Leveling seems much slower than the other Witcher games.

Is there a mod that removes all or most of the junk loot in the game? I had to stop because I'm OCD like that in these games and pick everything up as part of exploring. I even broke down and gave myself infinite carry weight and still lost the will to finish the game. This was nearly if not as bad as Bethesda games with their silly crafting systems and junk loot all over the place.

Before I started I looked through nexusmod and installed ~9 mods. I saw this one but didn't try it: Autoloot, no idea if you can filter it so it doesn't pick up junk items though.

I was thinking of installing that, but didn't bother. Looting everything is pretty easy anyway. I'm using some graphics mods and a really useful one that shows all your quests on the map at the same time.

Finished White Orchard after 7.5 hours.

Bought the expansions and started a fresh second playthrough. Been defaulting to leaving the HUD off and really enjoying it. I tend to get my head stuck in the minimap in open-world games, and having this option really lets me get into the world more.

37 hours and I think I'm ready to leave Velen and visit Oxenfurt.

Just started this game finally, playing it on PS4.

Very impressed so far, such a gigantic interactive world and game. The number of in game systems is huge, almost overwhelming at first but you get used to it. The UI is also something that takes some getting used to, with as many systems as they're juggling designing a UI for it is a challenge.

Definitely an impressive game though, good to see a game with such depth still being made, when the opposite is going on in most of the gaming world.

Def. a time sink game, I played like an 8 hour session that absolutely flew by. Reminds me of WoW in that you never feel like you're at a good stopping point, there's always just one more thing you think you can do before you stop, repeated indefinitely.

In conclusion, Witcher 3:

Novigrad is a nightmare for someone who has to systematically check every nook and cranny.

Skellige is the worst. I'm a minor completionist, so thought I'd try get all the smugglers caches before moving onto B&W.

I got about five before my boat sank, and I had to swim ~600 back to land. Gave up after that.

Long shot, do you still have the Blood and Wine expansion? Looking to get back into the witcher

If you complete all the quests, you will end up visiting all of it. Some quests open up later after you have visited skellige.

But I need to thoroughly check out every street and alley and circle every building and enter every house for all the lootable objects. I NEED ALL THE BROKEN RAKES!
