Brag: This is the first RTS I have ever played more than a game or two (WC3). I placed in Bronze. Worked my way up to Gold. Then I went 12-3 in my next 15. Broke even over my next handful and got promoted to Plat.

Beat: SC has all but killed my desire to play poker and is thus indirectly costing me money.

25 minutes into a game i had just melted his entire army of hydra/muta with my stalker/phoenix/zealot/collossi army and was about to go on my victory lap when my internet ****s out for a second and disconnects me. I get the loss obv, internet is back on 1 minute later.

how do you move up divisions? bronze --> silver etc.

i'm currently 6th in my bronze 1v1, and the gap between me and 5th is like 200 points and my bonus pool is empty. do you have to get to #1 to move up?

i started out 10-26, and have since gone 30-10.

When I got close to moving up to platinum from gold, I noticed I was playing only platinum players with an occasional diamond tossed in.

It was really easy to go from bronze to silver and silver to gold (I got to gold on my 28th league game), but I had to play about 30 games of which I went like 20-10 or something to get to platinum.

If you just keep playing you will move up. I bet you probably play a lot of matches in which you are not favored by the computer even though you are favored, so you will probably get a lot of points when you win and not lose a lot when you lose. I think this really helped me a lot.

the moving up thing is so weird. postoak and i went 1-4 today i think ( we both were gone for a few days and rusty) and after we finally won a game we got moved into diamond. good times blizzard.

side note, i hit 100 solo wins today!

I hate when I think I had upgraded something then later find out that I didn't (usually when I really need the upgrade). For example, yesterday in a TvT match I went heavy tanks, move them out to the enemies base, try to siege, realize I hadn't even started the siege upgrade, and proceed to get raped by the opponents siege tanks in his base. GG

Blizz keeps matching me vs Diamond players today.. I guess it was a bad time to try out planetary fortresses rushes, proxy reapers, and all the other goofy strats i've never done before. 7 losses in a row

i did manage a win though vs another terran that lasted 45 mins.. lots of fail on his side but i just kept trying to brute force my way through his tank lines. :P
