eta: other favorite games:
- never ever seen this before, a bad Terran goes rax at home, normal timing, AND TWO PROXY RAXES. Noticing w/ my drone scout that his wall had a whole (his first depot was offset) I was like "lol" and decided to 14/14 before expanding. So, completely by coincidence because he doesn't know how to place a depot, I had lings out easily, shut it down, and ran speedlings into his base to end the game
- someone who is likely bronze P goes one base 4gate, builds approx a billion zealots, attacks into like 7 spines, kills maybe 5 but finally dies

apollo and artosis at the top is standard. i was just talking the other day to goofy about how i thought rotterdam was really good and underrated.

i don't like tod's casting style, but he definitely knows a lot about the game. idra is one of my favorites- sort of a tod but less grating.

LOL day9- although i'm not sure if maybe i'll reconsider him as a caster. i'm sure there's a ton of bias in the fact that he likely he has personal relationships with a lot of these players.

bitter is too high. tasteless and totalbiscuit are too high. khaldor and wolf are way way way too low, in my opinion. the fact that gretorp is above wolf is just a joke.

this does sort of confirm the rumors i heard swirling around while i was in korea about how wolf and khaldor are *******s and not really popular.

Looks pretty good. Don't think Wolf is too low at all I hate him. Khaldor is though for me, he is ok. Agree Bitter too high.

Tasteless, well he is there for Artosis purposes to make the casting Archon. Artosis isn't as good without that back and forth banter.

Pretty good list. i would have Grubby up there too if he counted, maybe even in 3rd place behind the obvious two who most people will have.

not sure how you can have wolf below a bunch of people even if you think he's inaccurate..unless you actively are annoyed by him for another reason

several people above him on that list have gold league knowledge of the game

Gretorp is a high masters player dude, he knows his ****. In fact I think he has been GM even long after he stopped trying to be pro.

Meanwhile didn't Wolf lose to gold players on stream when he played? he obviously doesn't play the game anymore.

Wolf and Khaldor are very solid IMO.

Yeah whatever league he may be in, gretorp is one of the leaders in the casting world of "predicting something, having it immediately proven wrong" which is not a good look.

Who Wolf? I agree.

The ranking is kinda meh because they're lumping both primary analysts and primary play-by-play guys. Pros would obviously be biased towards knowledgeable casters, so it's no surprise the top 5 is comprised of Artosis, Apollo, and Rotterdam (the 3 best analysts) as well as Tod and Idra (arguably the 2 best pros-turned-caster). That's fine by me, though, since I'm like-minded. I'd probably put Incontrol instead of Tod, but Tod is fine.

I think TB should be higher, too. He's very good IMO and can easily carry his weight as long as he has an analyst to co-cast with. This is why there should probably be separate rankings for "knowledge" and "personality". Most pros probably view weak game knowledge as a big negative, but it's not really a weakness. It's just not his job and he was one of the first to embrace that and not try to overstep what he knows.

Apparently everyone hates Wolf now lol. I didn't think he was terrible, but I haven't actually seen him cast in ages so maybe he's AIDS now. He used to be high masters in Korea back then though.

Eh, maybe... But I think her attitude is really ****. Whenever I watch her stream whether she's winning or losing she always has this sense of entitlement that makes me think of her as a big-titted Idra. That aside the main reason I think she won't make GM is because her mechanics are mediocre at best. I'm honestly surprised she's high masters. I see her take engagements that are completely un-winnable that I used to do in diamond and lower. Maybe some quality coaching will help her but with her attitude as bad as it is I think that she won't improve to the highest level like ever. Maybe we can get a prop going? =)

Desrow is such a self-promoting POS. I remember awhile back he had some "show" on his stream where he would look over gold league replays or something with his viewers, and he inexplicably listed it as an "event" on TL so that it shows up in the calendar thing in the upper right. Now I see on the Twitch main page that he is apparently coaching Smix, and sure enough:
