Played a 54 minute 4v4 match and thought numerous times we had lost. We outlasted their economies and won it was soooo epic.

Yea, Idra is pretty sick. Obviously being in korea in a progamer house helps, especially if the other B teamers are practicing with him. Talent and motivation around considering that's all they do.

i´m a totally sc2 nwb and need some help with the numbers in the builts: when reading the wiki, the builts are written as
9 Pylon
12 Gateway
16 Assimilator
...
wtf do the numbers stand for?

i have no idea. i kept maxing out units which is why i couldn't finish him off sooner. almost all of the minerals on the map were gone by the end of the game.

0-0 at multiplayer and not expecting to try it for a looooooong time

still grinding away at the campaign, and sucking at it pretty much

one thing I've learned... if you miss earning all zerg/protoss research points in a scenario, you can replay it and earn the full amount on a second or third or fourth try... which is greatly slowing me down because I won't move on to the next campaign map until I've completed all missions in the previous ones. Even on casual level I'm not finding it very easy, have only completed 3 missions in full in my first three days of owning the game. I can't even imagine "brutal" and I'm sure multiplayer is probably even worse. (NOOB)

the numbers are based on your worker units you see in the top right. so when you're 9/X, build pylon; at 12/X build gateway; etc.

can anyone give us a little strategy tip? I'm certain the way I'm playing is so noobish, but I just crank out SCV's until I've got my economy going full blast... and then whatever units I build I group them all into one humongous mass and just try to tidal wave the opposition with this group.

I'm sure others are working with smaller, more specific groupings for strategic purposes... and I do see how to create "hotkey" groups... but I don't know what groups to create or why, and how to manage them all in battle. I have a hard enough time managing my one massive grouping even tho its pretty much point and click on enemies. Looking for tips on this aspect. Thanks.

Sometimes. Silver's play wasn't good imo. The whole point of walling off at the top is forcing units to walk up the ramp and into a choke to get vision. There's no comparable advantage to walling off at the bottom.

Bad of Idra to not thumbs down Lost Temple though.

But walling at the bottom prevents the opponent from getting up the ramp & therefore prevents them from getting vision, so T units can shoot down from the high ground while the opponent has to make it through the barracks first (or run an air unit over the cliff for vision, which the T player can attempt to target to take sight away again). I definitely liked Silver's play imo.
