I also heard this, but I also heard that if you play team games that it doesn't reset. I think you have to go an entire season without playing any games in any form...but I could be wrong.

I haven't played any pub games this season as I'm waiting until the next season starts to see if it resets.

im currently top 25 diamond and think i wanna grind to it but not sure what to expect. i remember the jump from plat to diamond was insane
any tips also? just practice?

Practice. Improve your skill level by: getting faster, being more analytical, notice what you are doing wrong and try to fix it. Like how you would get/ have gotten better at poker. Apply those techniques to starcraft and you will be in masters in no time at all.

Just remember it's a game and have fun with it.

Did a terribly inefficient FFE on Condemned Ridge - dunno how you're supposed to do the wall-off, I had 2 pylons, a gate, and a forge to wall off my nat. It took forever to build all this **** though so I'm not sure where the "fast" part of the expand comes in :/

Anyway I tried to build up a decent army, and eventually started running super high on minerals so I put down a billion gates (think I had 18?). Early on I had put a proxy pylon behind my opponents' 3rd, on that raised plateau behind it, just in case it became useful later; he never scouted it, so I researched chargelots and warped in a bunch of zealots. Right about the same time he did a roach/hydra/ling drop in my main, which did a fair amount of damage, but I was able to clean it up and he had nothing at home that could stop 18 chargelots from tearing him up. I took out his 3rd, his nat, and as I marched into his main while cleaning up the last of his drop at home he gg'd.

You don't need to fully wall off before you put down the nexus. The timings are different on each map, but unless zerg is doing something super aggressive you shouldn't have anything more than a forge a pylon and maybe a cannon down before you drop the nexus. Actual protoss players can clarify.

I have to publicly post this somewhere as I need to vent the lolz.

I'm meeting a girl in the city for a date. I try to pick someplace different or new that also serves alcohol in a reasonably nice setting on a Sunday afternoon. A lot of my regular joints are either closed, too far out of the way or just not appropriate for the setting. She lived in a bit of an outer neighborhood in the city where there wasn't good public transportation access (around Georgetown) so my options were pretty limited (I didn't want to ask her to go too far out of her way for a first date).

So I randomly pick a decent looking place with good reviews off Yelp.

I beat the girl to the bar/pub/lounge/whatever by 5 minutes... As I walk in I notice a woman standing outside out of the corner of my eye and think, "Wow. That's a really large lady."

I get in and there are men dressed as women everywhere. It's a full out drag bar in drunken swing, complete with men in drag singing on the stage. In fact, a good part of the crowd turned and looked at me like "what the ****?" because I was so out of place.

I just texted the girl, "I've made a terrible mistake. Meet me at the Italian place next door." However, she apparently walked in BEFORE she received my text but AFTER I left and she too was extremely concerned that on a first date a guy had taken her to... a drag competition.

Pylon-->Forge-->Nexus-->Gate/Cannon. If the ramp is wide, I add cybernetics and pylon to the wall, if not, I add only pylon. Pylon in the wall will make you vunerable to baneling busts, so after initial zealot, you might want to make couple of sentries for forcefields.

Hopefully you can both find the humor in it and it really should not be any type of deal breaker (if it is she needs to learn to lighten up), hope you both went on to have a good date anyways. It will be a great story (for her) to tell all your friends and family if you continue to date.

ya it obv went really fine. she was already laughing at the start of the date (once she got my 2nd text she came right in next door) and i hadn't said a word yet... a good start. as she sat down, i deadpanned "i thought a drag show would be a really appropriate first date, but they looked like they were out of seats" which obv made her laugh.

unfortunately, while she is a very nice girl and is pretty cute, i dont think im interested or will seek out a 2nd date.

narwhal will be excited that im still on the market, im sure.
